I ordered this hoping for an upgrade from my Hifiman EF400.I like the EF400, and the R2R DAC in the EF400 sounds very spacious and natural in NOS mode.But, the EF400 does not have DAC outputs and Amp inputs like the EF600.I would like to be able to use the R2R DAC with my other amplifiers, and use the built-in amp with my other DACs. Plus, the LDAC Bluetooth receiver in the EF600 seemed like a nice convenience, as well as the form factor doubling as a headphone stand.And, the EF400 has a well-documented design flaw where the DAC causes a lot of vinyl-like clicks and pops when playing back lossless FLAC files in NOS mode. This problem goes away in the sonically inferior OS mode, or when playing an M4A version of the same file instead of FLAC.So, I hoped Hifiman had fixed this problem.However, when my EF600 arrived, I noticed absolutely massive distortion in the bass when the hardware volume of the DAC section (accessible via USB Audio Player Pro) was turned up to levels that would drive the amplifier section to reasonably loud levels.Furthermore, the DAC would audibly distort (although not as badly) at very low settings of the hardware volume.I confirmed this was the DAC section causing the problem by connecting the XLR DAC outputs to my external amp. Massive distortion still there. And I confirmed the problem was NOT in the amplifier section by connecting my external DAC (Musician Pegasus) to the XLR amp inputs on the EF600. The amp section works fine.So my unit has a defective DAC / preamp gain stage section. I would hope that I got a defective unit, and that Hifiman didn't release this product with such a massive design flaw, like the aforementioned design flaw in the EF400 that causes static noise on lossless FLAC redbook files in NOS mode.I decided not to try another unit, because the amp section sounds inferior to the EF400 amplifier IMO- specifically it is a little lacking in the bottom end, just as some professional online reviews have noted, and the increase in power was not apparent compared to the EF400- neither will drive the HE-6SE to their capabilities, although either amp is plenty for anything but that and the Susvara.Despite these shortcomings, I probably would have kept it for the convenience factor if not for the major distortion defect.Disappointed, as I expected it to be an improvement upon everything I like about the EF400, but with the exception of the XLR ins and outs, it is not.Also, the play in the volume knob noted in other reviews is accurate.

There has been no greater jump in audio quality for me than ditching wireless and tiny headphones and upgrading to this beast of a headphone amp/DAC. Unbelievable clarity, depth, and width of sound stage. Never going back.

Utilisé avec un casque Focal clear et Utopia 2022.En sortie de carton,le son était un peu rentre dedans,un peu trop métallique.Mais précision et détails.Je l ai laissé tourné pendant plus de 24h pour le roder.Le côté métallique a disparue,beaucoup de détails,très précis,belle scène.Un excellent produit qui vaut bien plus cher au regard d autres appareils en ma possession.

購入して少し使ってみたレビューです。HIFIMANのヘッドホン・ANAODA NANOを購入し、ヘッドホンアンプを噛ませないと実力を出しきれないと感じた為、最初はカインのHA1Aを購入しました。しかし相性が悪かった様で、高域はドン詰まりでこもった様な音しか出ませんでした。試しに手持ちのゼンハイザーIE40PROをHA1Aに繋ぐと、真空管らしい暖かみある良音を満喫出来ました。相性問題で同じ失敗をしたくなかったので、同じメーカー同士なら問題ないだろうと無難な選択で購入した感じです。視聴環境はANAODA NANOをアンバランス接続し、iPhoneをBluetooth接続してAmazonmusic再生ですが、音の感想としては、良くも悪くも普通です。決して悪くはないとは思うのですが・・・まだエージングが足りてないのかもしれません。外部出力でDENONのPMA-1600NEに繋いでスピーカーでも聴いてみましたが、こちらの感触は悪くないです。EF600とiPhoneをデジタル接続すると鮮度が上がって一皮剥けた感じになるので、上流の環境によっても変化します。まだANAODA NANOの実力を出しきれてないと思うので、今後EF600とのバランス接続を考えています。

Die Verarbeitung ist okay. Sieht vermeintlich hochwertig aus, aber man merkt dass es ein Billiggerät (Chi-Fi) ist sobald man das Teil in die Hand nimmt. Über die musikalische Qualität des Gerätes an sich kann ich leider nichts sagen. Es kam direkt defekt an. Nichts passiert, auch wenn ich andere Kabel nutze. Kann vorkommen und ist nicht der Grund für meine Bewertung. Denn der Paukenschlag ist das hier und !!!BITTE UNBEDINGT LESEN!!!Der 115/220V Schalter ist das mit Abstand dümmste Design das ich jemals in meinem Leben gesehen habe. Der Sticker an der Unterseite zeigt eindeutig das hier an:115 220.Was bei uns natürlich nur bedeuten kann, dass die Schalterstellung rechts sein muss, oder?FALSCH!Denn in der kleinstmöglichen Schrift steht weiter unten, dass der weiße Schriftzug auf dem roten Schalter die wahre Spannung anzeigt. Was in dem Fall bedeutet dass der Schalter LINKS sein muss, da erst so der weiße Schriftzug mit 220V angezeigt wird. Also muss dieser auf die Seite der vermeintlichen 115V Schaltung gesetzt werden. Man muss quasi genau das Gegenteil davon machen, was der Sticker einem vorgibt.Das ist so bescheuert dass ich mir 100% sicher bin, dass dutzende Leute so das Gerät unbrauchbar gemacht haben. Weil Hifiman anscheinend zu unfähig ist eine logische Kennzeichnung für einen Schalter zu machen, dessen Betätigung euer Gerät in unter einer Sekunde unbrauchbar/zerstören kann. Wenn D*mmheit einen Preis bekäme, würde Hifiman den mit Sicherheit auch bekommen.
