This is a great training aircraft, I got one to help me learn to fly RC planes. I've flown some other trainers before and wanted to get back into it. The SAFE modes work well for learning the basics, it really does a good job keeping it stable while flying and makes it easy to operate. I found that after flying for a bit I didn't need it anymore, but once in a while it's still nice to turn on, especially if the plane is not trimmed out well and getting things back to level flight while I fuss around with the transmitter is rather useful. Flight wise it is capable of assorted basic aerobatic maneuvers, and the large wheels are wonderful for flying off of a grass field. Many other similarly sized aircraft seem to struggle with decent ground handling in the grass, but not this one. I'm now planning to buy a new plane and can safely say that this aircraft has been able to get me hooked on the hobby. I'd highly recommend this plane to anyone looking to learn to fly rc planes, it is quite stable, flies well and is relatively forgiving.

Great little aeroplane, however I received an outdated manual in the box. Also the vertical stabilizer does not fit flush with the fuselage when assembled.

I like this product its easy to assemble and a great looking plane still have not got it in the air yet. i bought the BNF version. I am having trouble trying to bind my Spektrum DXs transmitter to it on the horizon hobby website it says you can use one. I don't know if i have to update the controller. Anyway great product would definitely recommend for newbie flyers

I admit my first impression was not so good and I'll explain why, but after my first flight I have to say that THIS is the plane to get for beginners.First the reason I was initially negative, was based on the assembly process. They say they are ready to fly, but in reality there is some significant assembly, and one gotcha.. that is, they suggest using loctktight to secure the inner wheel collars on the axels... So I had to get some of that, and then it really didn't work to hold the collars.. I ended up just putting tightly pulled wire ties behind the collars. You have to assemble the wheels, horizontal/vertical stabilizer, and the two wings (having to place vortex generators on them) And that bings me to the second problem, one of the screws that secures the wings to the fuselage was missing, so I had to get one locally. Also the very tiny diagram of the screws that secure the struts did not clearly show they were self tapping screws, they looked to my eyes like calling for machine screws, and there was none. Only after viewing the PDF version of the manual and zooming did I figure that out.All told if you had everything and count the time it takes to read the manual, it may take up to an hour to put it together.I installed the optional GPS and Landing Assist module... I'll review them separately, but I have to say the manual says there is a door to open to install the GPS module... In mine there is none, just a notch in the radio compartment to press the module into.Setting up the transmitter and binding was very easy, just follow the instructions.Next comes having it go through the initial GPS lock and compass calibration. After all that you are ready to fly.The very positives are that in beginner mode it flies very well and is very forgiving, if you over control just let go the sticks and it will auto-level. Also it is very easy to fly this plane slow if you need to. Also, especially with landing assist, landing is VERY easy... the assist module takes care of the flare.
