Das Set kam gut verpackt an. An sich ein tolles Produkt, der Silikondeckel passt jedoch nicht ganz auf die Schüssel und wirkt leicht verzogen. Für meinen Gebrauch allerdings nicht weiter schlimm.

Jeder, der schon einmal in der KitchenAid Sahne geschlagen hat, weiß was für einen Schweinkram das in der Küche veranstalten kann. Deshalb haben wir für unsere 5KSM185PS dieses Set bestellt.Wie auch schon andere berichtet haben, passt der Spritzschutzring nicht richtig auf unsere 5QT-Rührschüssel, er sitzt einfach viel zu stramm und lässt sich nur mit Gewalt aufsetzen. Wenn er denn erst einmal sitzt, spritzt aber kaum noch Sahne aus der Schüssel.Der andere enthaltene klare Spritzschutz ist aber deutlich besser als das Original. Im Gegensatz zu diesem hat der von HOMGEN nicht nur drei Plastiknasen, die immer wieder von der Schüssel springen wenn man dagegen kommt, sondern eine durchgehende Rille. Dadurch ist es deutlich unwahrscheinlicher den Spritzschutz ausversehen zu verschieben.Deshalb erhält dieser von mir vier Sterne, der Sahne-Spritzschutz dagegen nur zwei. Macht im Mittel also drei Sterne.

/using with the Tilt-Head 4.8L artisan KitchenAid, the complete covering attachment, that is the one without a spout opening, does not fit. It is too small to fit on the bowl. Barely, but still not attachable. A shame.The splatter guard with the pouring spout is bigger, and does fit on, it is a little bit big, it wobbles and doesn't stay on perfectly with grips like the official ones, but it is at least functional. Works well, allows the head to move and protects form splatter. When doing a simple test of making butter from cream, usually a very splattery manoeuvre as the cream begins to leave the buttermilk behind, this kept most of the spatter contained. So it works.A shame that only one can be used, but that one does work well. Materials are cheap plastic, but more isn't really needed.

HOMGEN 2PCS Splatter Guard Covers for 4.5 and 5QT KitchenAidPouring shield is a good fit for my 4.5lqt model. Its reasonably thick clear inflexible plastic - weight is 140g. Pouring lip is ~12cm wide and ~4cm wide (at the bottom). Slope is good enough for pouring liquids & flour. The shield doesn't have any obvious dirt traps, and you put through the dishwasher.The splatter guard is made from opaque flexible plastic, and has a central hole (~10cm diameter) for the mixer head to fit through. A separate flexible plastic tub can fill the hole.The included brush is handy but not essential.Set arrives in plastic bags - all contained in plain cardboard box.
