I am mainly comparing this Huawei Matepad 12X tablet with the best tablet currently on the market, which is Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 5G.-In terms of performance they are equal, well done with matching the snapdragon.I did not run any benchmarks, just considered everyday use. The fluency is even better with the Mate Pad 12X. Which might be also be explained by the constant 144Hz constant screen referesh rate. You can not set a fixed frequency on Samsung and it changes from 30 to 120 Hz all the time.-Superior ergonomics, proportions with Huawei Mate Pad 12X, Galaxy Tab has sharp edges but the buttons feel better-Sound quality is better with Samsung-Operating system and haptics / vibrations are better with Samsung-Operating System depth and openness better with Samsung / Harmony OS is new and closed source-The Pen is too thick with Huawei, Samsung has better one-Huawei Pen M3 is superb with pencil drawing. Infinitely more pressure points than Samsungs, which makes a paper-like experience so realistic. It really is drawing on paper. Huawei's pen is more robust and durable, but the clicking feel is better with Samsung (soft tip) vs. hard tip for Huawei. Haptics and feedback during normal use better with Samsung.-The screen is superb with Huawei, although not perfect. No reflections, very robust screen (you can apply a lot of pressure with the pen and no visible damage to pen or surface). The colors look better on the Samsung but you it reflects like crazy, permantly blinding or showing you your face in the background. Especially when the screen shows something dark.-Black is better on Samsung but, the darker the color the more you see the mirror effect on the screen. Huawei has no rich black but no reflections either, under no circumstances.-Camera probably better with Samsung-The apps availability is no issue on Huawei, but you need to use APKs and they in turn are managed by google in the background and also share details with countless other 3rd parties.-Both HarmonyOS and Android are spyware masters, huawei notably offers more options to manage the spyware. Android is more secretive about it. For instance they try to force you to use Bluetooth to increase their insights about the user. My Android phone suddenly too switched on Bluetooth all by itself (i have forbidden it to do that on all levels) and it never did that before. The devices somehow try to confirm server assumptions, thotugh matching bluetooth intersections between local devices. This point goes again to Huawei (not living in China)-Print Quality with Brother printer: Printed Text from PDFs looks very bad when using the Huawei Print Service. They look very sharp with Samsung. Both Huawei and Samsung direct the printed content to an external server first, so again spyware alert.-The led screen brightness is good with both devices, but Huawei's feels a bit uncomfortable at times.-In Total Huawei is still the screen / surface winner. Robust Matte > Fancy Mirror.-5G function was not tested with Samsung-Wifi streaming and fluency is better with Huawei. Samsung has occassional connectivity issues-HarmonyOS is more efficient with battery (too many background processes on Android) Probably a LOT of background data being sent by Android to google.-Super charging speed, charger included, point for Huawei-Both devices require Wifi for first setup, spyware alertI picked the Samsung, despite the inferior screen because the System allows some adaptations, has more depth, print quality is good and the haptics / small pen work better together. The exterior design and matte surface feel is better with Samsung, despite better proportions and edge on Huawei.-
