Este no es el primer producto que adquiero IFI, y ambos me han sorprendido por su calidad y por su excelente concepto de diseño del producto. El primer IFI que adquirí fue un precio phono que me ha sorprendido por dos razones, tal y como lo mencionan, la fuente de alimentación interna es de una calidad notable y ello se refleja en el sonido y segundo la calidad de la reproducción en MM y MC con mis tornamesas Linn, demuestra que es realmente bueno. Con esta experiencia ahora pruebo su amplificador de audífonos y el resultado es de nuevo notable. Dos fueron los temas críticos a probar de mi parte, el nivel de ruido en especial a bajos volúmenes y la capacidad para manejar mis Senhaisser HD600 y HD650, audífonos preferidos para mi pero muy difíciles de manejar por su muy alta impedancia de 300ohms. El resultado? Muy bueno, el IFI maneja estos audífonos muy muy bien de hecho tiene tres niveles de ganancia y basto con usar el intermedio, para lograr niveles de sonido mucho mas que suficiente, hay que cuidar mis oídos y no abusar del nivel de sonido con los audífonos, recordar que el daño sería irreversible. Y el niel de ruido? Excelente, sin problema alguno, y la reproducción? Para mi muy bien, muy cerca de mi referencia con gran claridad, muy buena separación de los instrumentos y escenario. Tiene una función adicional, extra bajos y 3D. El extra bajos, me agradó que no es exagerado, hace sentir los medios bajos y los bajos sin exagerar. Eb cuando a 3D, el efecto es también discreto y me parece a mi, muy similar al efecto de crossfield, que mezcla una pequeña parte del canal opuesto para hacer sentir un efecto similar al de escuchar la música con baffles, muy agradable.En resumen, una amplificador de audífonos con excelente relación precio beneficio y una excelente referencia a productos IFI.

I really like this headphone amp. I'm using the Beyerdynamic DT 700 Pro X headphones with it and using this amp they're the best they've ever sounded to me. A lot of that has to do with the XBass+ and Xspace features, I just think they're a really nice fit with these headphones. These headphones weren't lacking in bass or anything, but the Xbass+ feature just makes the bass more impactful and natural sounding without muddying the rest of the sound. I don't really know what Xspace is doing but I like it a lot too, it just sounds better. I almost always use both features at the same time.This is just an amp though, it does require some kind of dac to work. Basically any sound source would work but for best results a standalone dac would be best in my opinion. I'm using an SMSL SU-1 and it seems like a perfect match for this. I also tried it with a Topping E30 II which was as good as the SU-1, the FiiO D3 (D03K) which was also very good, and then a variety of other outputs like dongle dacs and old portable CD palyers and really everything sounded good through this. In the end though I still think the standalone dacs were best.I do have 1 complaint about this though and it's that it doesn't come with a power supply even though it's required to use this. From the manual it states it needs a 5v 2.5a adapter. I was having trouble finding one that would work. I bought a few 3a adapters and none of them worked for some reason. It would power on and then shut off as if it wasn't getting enough power. I ended up using my phone charger which is a 4a adapter, so now my phone doesn't charge as fast lol but it's worth it I suppose. So just keep that in mind that you'll need to get a power adapter.Overall though I'm super happy with this. I just bring it around room to room now because it's the only way I want to listen to music with these headphones now. The sound is great, it's plastic but feels like it's built well. Can't really go wrong here if you need a headphone amp

Erst mal vorweg: Das Wichtigste bei gutem Sound ist das Harmonieren der kompletten Klangkette, angefangen von der Quelle über DAC, Verstärker bis zum KH/LS.Der Zen Air Can war eines meiner ersten Geräte um mehr aus meinem KH heraus zu holen und hat es geschafft bis heute ein Teil meiner Soundkette zu bleiben. In 3 meiner Rezensionen (MF V90 DAC, Zen Dac/Can Signature, iPower X) kann nachgelesen werden wie ich zu diesem Setup gekommen bin.Ich habe festgestellt, dass der Air Can ein wenig empfindlich ist, was Eingangs- und Ausgangslautstärke angeht. Vor 9 Uhr stimmt die Balance nicht (wie schon andere bemerkt haben), nach 2 Uhr fängt er an merklich zu verzerren.Sind die Einstellungen erst mal gefunden (siehe unten), ist der Air Can absolut Mega. Ich beschreibe die Klangkulisse einfach mal als locker, leicht, luftig und entspannt. Es wirkt nie angestrengt, ist natürlich, sehr detailreich und nie zu spitz.Vielleicht werde ich irgendwann mal auf den Zen Can upgraden. Ich befürchte aber, ich brauche dann andere KH um den Unterschied genießen zu können.Mein Fazit:Wenn man die zwei Schwachpunkte des Air Can durch geschickte Einstellungen vermeidet, gibt es meines Erachtens nichts, was das Gerät in dieser Preisklasse auch nur annähernd gefährden kann.Meine Hardware:Asus Prime X570 Pro MB, KH Hifiman Deva Pro wired balanced, Ifi Zen Dac Signature, 2 x iFi iPower X Netzteil, Oelbach VerkabelungMusik:Spotify und PCM 24bit 48KHzMeine Einstellungen (Lautstärkeregelbereich am Can zwischen 10 Uhr und 1 Uhr):MB Lautstärke - 70%; Zen Dac Signature – fixed output; Zen Air Can - Gain 9dB, XBass onZur Info: Bei anderen KH können die Einstellungen anders seinWichtig: Die Hör-Lautstärke sollte am Can geändert werden und nicht am PC !!!!Der Regelbereich sieht nach nicht viel aus, reicht aber von Zimmerlautstärke, bis sch… ist das Laut

What can i say? With a single word its perfect.I was using Zen Dac V1 for drive my Sony Mdr 7506 headphone. But when i got Hifiman Sundara Zen Dac was not powerfull to drive them. Then i got a balanced cable to use 4.4 balanced output of the Zen Dac beause there is more power than the 6.5 output, sound was better but it was going to distortion on the high volume because Zen Dac only deliver 380 mW max. and not enough very well.Then i decided to get Zen Air Can as separeted headphone amp. Because its 3 times more powerful than then the Zen Dac’s balanced output.(Air Can: 1,2 watt at 32ohm)(Zen Dac: 380mW at 32ohm)Now i using Zen Dac as a dac and Air Can to drive my Sundara.As power supply i using Dc 5v 2,4 A phone charger (12watt). Its feed up very well.**(Please mind about current level, because first i tried with 5V 1A charger, but 5V 2,4 A charger better about sound and all)The result is amazing. There is more power, sound stage and details on the Sundara withtout distortion on high volume(xbass is off).XSpace is a nice filter which i like turn it on, it adds more air and stage to music without change sound character.Yes its a plastic body but build quality nice enough with metal volume knob and looks premium with dark grey and black colors.On this price point we can not get better than this. I would like to say thanks to ifi Audio engineers and all ifi Audio team. This was more than i expect. And this setup put a big smile to my face.And also thanks to Peter Tyson’s shop for fast delivery, the pack was on my hand next day.

Da ich gerne Musik höre aber nicht bereit bin dafür die Preise zu zahlen, die üblicherweise für gute Lautsprecher und das dazu nötige Equipment aufgerufen werden, bin ich den für mich optimalen Kompromiss Kopfhörer eingegangen.Dazu habe ich dann nach einigem suchen auch Anfang diesen Jahres einen symmetrischen Kopfhörer (ATH-MSR7b) gefunden, der mir klanglich sehr gut gefällt. Um allerdings die Vorteile der symmetrischen Kabelführung genießen zu können, habe ich mir für mein Smartphone einen DAC (FIIO KA3) zugelegt, der einen 4,4mm Pentaconn Anschluss hat.Eine entsprechende Lösung zum hören meiner Vinyl-Scheiben mit meinen Plattenspieler (TEAC TN-3B)habe ich seitdem gesucht. Aber entweder sind die entsprechenden Geräte günstig, aber nicht auf symmetrischen Betrieb ausgelegt (Pro-Ject Head Box S2) oder aber sie bewegen sich in der Preisliga in der ich nicht mitspielen möchte (z.B. Violectric).Durch Zufall bin ich dann auf die Zen Serie des englischen Herstellers ifi aufmerksam geworden. Dieser hat sich auf Geräte in kompakter Bauweise für den Kopfhörerbetrieb spezialisiert und mit dem ZEN CAN tatsächlich ein Gerät mit symmetrischem 4,4mm Ausgang im Portfolio. Zuerst war ich bei dem Preis von weniger als €100 skeptisch, denn es heißt ja nicht umsonst "billig kaufen ist zweimal kaufen", aberich habe es trotzdem drauf ankommen lassen.Und was soll ich sagen, schon nach den ersten 30 Sekunden von "After Midnight" (The Lady In The Balcony - Eric Clapton), war mir klar, dass ich diesen Kauf nicht bereuen würde. Ich habe in den letzten Tagen viele meiner Lieblingsplatten gehört und dabei immer wieder kleine Überraschungen erlebt, da ich Stellen entdeckt habe, die ich vorher nicht gehört hatte.Es ist möglich das ich mit einer größeren Investition vielleicht noch mehr Hörspaß hätte, aber Ich bin restlos begeistert und für meine Belange reicht es aus.Nur ein kleiner Wermutstropfen ist dabei, neben den positiven Klangerlebnissen, habe ich leider auch Knackgeräusche entdeckt, die ich mit meinem alten Verstärker nicht hatte. Deshalb musste ich noch mal etwas Geld investieren und habe mir den iFi Audio Zen Air Phono gegönnt 😁

After having this a little while now I have to say that if you pair this with a headphone system that is light on the low end the bass to sub bass section, you will love it! As far as volume, don't believe the hype. It's OK, not the loudest thing out, but it is the cleanest. I know that this company has had manufacturing issues in the past but mine seem to work right out the box no leveling issues whatsoever. As a side note if you are using the 400 SE, the 1060 C or the sundaras the second gain level is all you need. Great product Flawless sound you won't be disappointed
