I’ve used these now constantly as an everyday day part of my collection. They are wonderful! They do have a thin outer coating that easily sands off on your pastel paper with use to reveal a lovely soft consistency. The box contains a nice range of values and you can mix many more hues. The level of hardness makes them essential in my kit for early stages of painting and also fine line work and grasses. These are a good quality pastel at an amazing price. Don’t be afraid of buying!

These are excellent professional pastels, very soft and a huge color range. The price is very good for this quality of product. The shipment arrived quickly and none of the sticks damaged.

Good pastels. I thought these were the soft pastels but they are the regular or medium-soft pastels for Jack Richardson. That's why the price was so low but still a good buy and great for under painting and detail work also. I love playing with the colors spectrum and use them for thumb nail sketches to plan things out.
