So far this has worked great. Got this as the first m.2 to sata adaptor I bought seemed to have the sata connection become loose and lose connection causing issues with the drives connected. But as this one has a heat sink/metal shell it keeps them from flexing to much

Eine Samsung 840pro SSD liefert mit diesem Adapter563MB/s lesenUnd535MB/s schreiben ab.Das Maximum was diese SSD schafft.Meine HDDs kommen auf 160MB/sAuch das Maximum.Habe 4 Petra angeschlossen. Diese funktionieren alle wie erwartet.Kann das Teil empfehlen.

I bought this to make a little 5-drive NAS with a mini PC and I had hours of headaches and troubleshooting.. only to finally figure out that Port 5 of this thing was defective and causing disk read/write IO errors making me think a drive was going bad. About a whole day of troubleshooting and an unnecessary hard disk RMA, I finally figured out that if I put sideways pressure on Port 5, the drive would work fine. If I released there would be timeouts and IO errors. First time I've ever had an experience like this. I think the nature of the very thin PCB due to m.2 card requirements make this VERY fragile. Be sure to support the board when inserting and removing cables and for pete's sake, verify all the ports on your actually work reliably.

I bought this to add additional SATA drives to my Unraid Server. The first thing I noticed is that this is a quality, durable-feeling adapter, as opposed to the others I found while shopping which looked very flimsy. With the metal encasement around the SATA ports, there's really no risk of bending or breaking one of them which others reported as an issue with some of the other adapters. I installed 2 additional IronWolf drives and a SSD for a secondary cache drive, and everything works great so far and registers at the full 6GB/s speed. I'll update this review if I run into any issues, but so far everything works great and the installation didn't require any additional configuration in the Unraid OS.

Plugged this into a spare M.2 port and it works perfectly in both Debian Linux and windoze. A must have for modern motherboards and people who don't want to rely on corporate security and goodwill on the cloud platforms.

Da ich an die Grenze der SATA-Anschlüsse meines Mainboards gekommen bin, habe ich recherchiert, wie ich meinen M.2-Port für weitere HDDs nutzen kann. Dabei bin ich auf viele Adapter gestoßen, die entweder zu heiß wurden oder sehr dünn und instabil wirkten. Dieses Modell von JEYI löst beide Probleme hervorragend:Die Metallabdeckung sorgt für eine bessere Wärmeableitung und bietet zusätzliche Stabilität. Besonders praktisch finde ich, dass die M.2-Schraube im Lieferumfang enthalten ist – ein Detail, das oft übersehen wird, aber sehr geschätzt wird.Ein kleines Extra, das das Paket noch besser machen würde, wären 5 SATA-Kabel im Set. Ansonsten bin ich mit dem Adapter äußerst zufrieden!

I'm using this to add additional SATA ports to a TrueNAS server. Most ITX motherboards these days only have 4 SATA ports, but the NAS case I'm using (Jonsbo N2) has 5 hotswap bays, plus you need at least 1 more port for the OS drive. By adding this, I can dedicate all 5 hotswap bays to this thing installed on the M.2 slot, and then use the motherboard's built-in SATA ports for the OS drive (or use a USB boot drive and route the SATA ports externally for an external 4-bay JBOD). You probably can't boot off of it, but it works fine for data drives, and needs no drivers.
