This review is on the replacement starter solenoid from the JTAREA Store. The images show details of the solenoid after removing it from the package and with it installed on my riding mower. The listing provides accurate information on the features and the models of mowers this solenoid fits. I verified this on the John Deere website. You can see in one of the photos a side by side comparison with the original solenoid that it’s exactly the same. You can also see in the above photos the original solenoid I needed to replace, and this replacement solenoid installed. The task is very easy and only takes a few minutes. Just be sure you disconnect your battery prior to installing it. I installed this solenoid on my John Deere E170 that is equipped with a Briggs & Stratton 25 HP V-twin engine. I was experiencing an intermittent no crank and the new solenoid corrected the problem. I liked the fact that the new solenoid came with new nuts and washers for the battery and starter cables. The washers help prevent the cables from twisting when you torque them down. This replacement solenoid is a quality product that’s a very affordable solution for this particular issue and I’m happy with the results. If you’re experiencing a similar problem with your mower you may want to consider getting one of these solenoids from the JTAREA Store.

I had an old Bolens riding mower that I needed to replace the starter and starter solenoid on to get it running again, and this was a perfect replacement. Popped on with no issues, and did exactly what it was supposed to do.

The starter solenoid was an easy drop in replacement for an aging one that had become intermittent. The solenoid was the exact fit for my mower and it was easy to exchange the old for the new. Replacing the solenoid fix my intermittent starting issues for the mower in about 5 minutes. It took longer to get the tools out and put them away then the exchange.
