Küchengarn gibt es natürlich überall zu kaufen. Ich habe es sowohl im 1-Euro-Shopgesehen als auch bei manufactum. Wobei manufactum am billigsten war!Der Gebrauchswert der Dose ist jedoch eher ärgerlich als hilfreich.Einmal geschlossen, geht das Ding kaum wieder auf.Es gibt Besseres auf dem Markt!

Nice quality string holder with cutting edge. I use string for a variety of purposes including cooking and packaging. This holder is perfect for keeping the string clean, easily accessible, and untangled. The stainless steel matches my kitchen and office, thus the holder looks nice on the desk but is small enough to conveniently store in a cabinet. The cutting edge works really well, sharply cutting the string without cutting fingers! It holds a small package of string and thus will not work for larger string bundles but this is the perfect size for average consumer use.

This was originally bought for an art project where I needed to cut lengths of string very quickly, I am about to buy another and keep it in my kitchen! It cuts the string really well and is very easy to use one-handed. The only problem I have found is that when using different string, (as I needed to use slightly thicker parcel string) the ball of string must be unwound and then placed into the container. This does cause it to tangle sometimes. But of course if you intend to use the type of string supplied, it does a perfect job.

I was SOOOO tired of my little ball of kitchen twine just falling all over the place. It had come in a flimsy non-durable plastic case that did have a cutter on it, but the case disintegrated long before the twine was used. So I had seen an attractive Italian wood twine holder in the Williams Sonoma catalogue and decided to check out a permanent solution to this. The WS one is beautiful, but had mediocre reviews, is large and a bit clunky, good for kitchen-counter eye candy but not an easy fit in a drawer, had no cutter, and possible flaws in the design regarding how it opens/closes. I knew I wanted an enclosed one to keep the twine clean, but I quickly eliminated that one. So I checked out several other models: stainless canister types by Norpro and RSVP, both of which are sold here on Amazon and actually bought one from a local store: while they were okay, neither one had a cutter, they seemed a bit large for a small ball of kitchen twine but it was difficult to tell if the larger standardly-available twine ball would fit, and the twine just sort of came out of a hole in the top and if cut close could fall back in (not a huge worry, but, eh?)SO, I had also seen this one by Kuchenprofi. I use a fair amount of twine for trussing birds, tying boneless legs of lamb and rolled turkey breast and such. I don't need huge balls of twine. This holder is nice and compact - tucks perfectly into any kitchen drawer or sits discretely countertop; it holds the standard small kitchen twine ball perfectly. It is easy to open/close but once closed it stays closed until you open it (mention this because there were complaints about this feature in reviews for the other brands...). The best part is that the hole where the twine comes out is designed so that the string stays put after it is cut; also it has a great sharp little cutter embeded on the top as well. I love it!! Someone reviewing one of the other brands poo-pooed the need for a cutter, saying you can just grab a knife or scissor; that is true, but when I have my hands covered in raw chicken juice and such I am fine with NOT picking up another implement to cut the twine...seriously!! So the added feature of the cutter is A++. Beautiful top quality stainless steel housing keeps your cooking twine clean and is also easy to clean.I pay attention to the brands I buy and have some other implements by Kuchenprofi. They make top quality items. This is one of them.It might cost a tad more, but it will last a lifetime and is worth it. The only caveat is if you are a huge user of cooking twine in which case you may need those large twine rolls and I have not seen a covered holder for those large rolls anyway...there are some nice peg or rod-style holders for those. A small ball of cooking twine lasts me months and I can replace it for just a couple of dollars at my Whole Foods or Ace Hardware, etc., so this smaller twine ball holder is PERFECT.HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS OVER ALL THE OTHERS AVAILABLE!

Als begeisterter Hobbykoch benötige ich auch immer wieder einmal Küchenkordel, um bestimmte Fleischsorten zu bändigen. Wenn diese Kordel lose in der Schublade liegt, ist Verschmutzung und Verwicklung vorprogammiert. Also habe ich mich zum Kauf der Küchenprofi Kordelbox entschieden. Was aber für viel Geld geliefert wurde, entsprach überhaupt nicht meinen Erwartungen. Eine Blechbox, auf dem optischen Niveau einer kleinen Getränkedose, mit einem unsäglich fehlerhaften Gewinde, hat mir den Spaß gründlich verdorben. Nachdem ich die erste Garnrolle probeweise unter Mühen in der Dose verfrachtet hatte, war das Teil hinterheer kaum mehr zu öffnen. Nur mit brachialer Gewalt ließ sich die Dose davon überzeugen wieder geöffnet zu werden. Ergebnis: Deutliche Spuren und Macken am Gehäuse. Ich verstaue nun mein Küchengarn wieder lieber in einem Beutel.

Lange habe ich im Handel nach Küchengarn gesucht und suchen lassen. In allen möglichen Kochsendungen und -büchern wird Küchengarn benutzt, doch wo man es kaufen kann, das wird nicht verraten. Leider führt kein Geschäft Küchengarn, ist wohl zu banal.Nun haben wir es über "Amazon" kaufen können. Die Lieferung kam innerhalb weniger Tage nach der Bestellung an.Das Garn steckt in einer Dose mit Abschneidevorrichtung, welche recht praktisch ist, und ist somit geschützt gelagert.Ich kann den Artikel nur empfehlen.
