I bought this rotary cutter because I liked the idea of just pressing and having the blade come out. The blade in the cutter was very sharp. The size is the same as any other cutter, but it seems a little heavier. It was easy to use for large pieces of fabric, but I found it harder to use when cutting out small pieces. The ruler had to be pressed down tightly so the cloth didn't bunch up under it, but only for small pieces.
