Once ya figure out the straps all is good. My lead field hand thought it was excellent!

I use this apron for trimming grass and too be honest, I don't like it. Apron is I think the proper word; not chaps as stated. First there's the confusing array of straps to figure out. Straps running everywhere. It's necessary to get the straps through the buckles before donning the apron. Next comes the adjusting phase. Put in on, evaluate, take it off, adjust the shoulder straps. Repeat. After that you're all set except for tightening the waist strap. Awkward but doable after some fumbling behind your back. The waist strap must then be loosened to take the apron off. The whole process of donning is awkward too. The garment is slipped over the head, taking care to get head and arms through the correct straps and then the waist strap is cinched. You're ready to trim now.In use the apron works very well indeed. Which is why I gave it 3 stars. I hang the apron low to keep grass off my shoes mostly, but that makes walking difficult, necessitating lifting the apron to walk. Going a bit higher would make walking easier, but leave shoes exposed. Your choice I suppose.An important point: this thing is hot, hot. You'll soak your shirt right through pretty quickly in warm weather. I'm always glad to get it off. The material used seems to be adequate for the job, but you suffer.As distasteful to use as it is, I'm happy to have it as it does a nice job of protecting my jeans. I'm not sure I would repurchase however

I like the product in concept, but it did not fit as a protective garment for brush trimming. I added about 2 feet of strap for hanging this around my neck, allowing the apron to hang just above the tops of my shoes. This was disappointing, as it left the top below my chest. I would have preferred 1 to 2 feet more length for a 6 foot tall person on the apron and longer neck straps. There is a small pocket, I would have preferred deep pocket for cell phone. Great for tiny people, not so great for tall folks!

Needs to be longer so as to protect the feet.
