I got these for one task. Cutting M8 bolts that are used for cabinet drawer/door pulls/handles.I own a cabinet shop so put a lot of handles on, and sometimes the bolts are a bit too long.These are great for that because they are so much easier to use than a larger bolt cutter and they cut great. In the past I as using a nice pair of lineman pliers, but these cut even better.I love KNIPEX tools. They are the best quality. They are very costly though. I would probably be fine living with a set of bolt cutters that was half the price, but these are so nice and I get a smile on my face when I use them.If you need a set of cutters for jobs that you do often, then buy them. Stop thinking about it. They are great and you will love them. If you are only going to use them a few times a year then maybe get something cheaper.

I bought (1) and it is really good quality. I used it on chain link fence that is hard to cut, and my daughter cut right through it. I bought 2 more after that. I then go to the saddle shop and make leather belt sheaths for them and give them away to my fencing friends that love nice tools. Made in Germany and way easier to cut heavy wire than fencing pliers.

I bought these for my son for making chain mail links. He had been using an old pair of cutters of mine. When he made his first cut with these he said, "They cut like butter!" He loves them. They seem extremely well constructed. Should be for the money. I imagine they are a tool that will last a lifetime if you take care of them.
