Our contractor put in one of these in our shower 18 years ago. It was an odd pewter color which didn't match anything else in our bathroom. The handle started spinning about 5 months ago, so I took it apart. A plastic piece inside the handle had broken. The fix was to take off the decorative plate off so I could tighten the handle beyond what the plate would allow me to. We lived like this for months with the wall exposed to water. We have a large shower, and it was on the non-water side so the risk of water damage was minimal. I got tired of it looking like crap, so I found this. Same design as our 18-year-old one and easy to replace and now everything matches. Hopefully this last another (at least) 18 years.

Love this trim piece for my new shower. I was originally going to buy the entire Devonshire collection for my shower however the price was a little out of our price range. Lucky amazon sells just the trim from Kohler which is great! Love the look of the trim it looks amazing in our new shower.Read the directions and make sure to order the correct assembly for the trim.

I didn’t even need my contractor because it was that easy to do yourself! I called Kohler, who by the way had AWESOME customer service. I sent a picture of my valve and they told me what I could purchase. Found it on Amazon, watched some videos of installation on YouTube and read the instructions. It took 30 minutes, if that! Looks so nice; I’m very pleased. I am showing before and after pictures: I ordered the oil rubbed as my new shower handle😍
