As someone just getting into sketching, I was looking for a charcoal art set that wouldn’t overwhelm me but still had all the essentials—and this set delivered. It’s incredibly versatile, offering a great variety of tools like compressed charcoal sticks, pencils, blending stumps, erasers, and more. I felt like I had everything I needed to explore different techniques right out of the box.The quality of the materials is excellent for the price point. The pencils sharpen easily without breaking, and the charcoal glides smoothly on paper with rich, deep tones. I especially appreciated the range of hardness levels, which gave me a chance to experiment with shading and texture.Whether I was sketching basic shapes, doing gesture drawings, or trying a full portrait, this kit handled it all. It’s compact enough to store or take on the go, and it really gave me the confidence to keep practicing.If you're a beginner looking to dive into charcoal art without having to piece together supplies individually, this set is a fantastic starting point.
