It is supposed to have the capacity to wind up to 10oz, but I can barely get 7oz on it. The arms are made of crappy metal and pull into and rub on the plastic, no matter how loose I have the tension. Not pleased at all with this yarn winder.

The assembly on this was brutal. Mainly because there was a crucial piece missing. The little bracket that holds the first feeder arm in place was missing. I bought an 11 cent washer and used some really thin wire and was able to get the arm installed and then covered it with white electrical tape. There was a lot of guesswork and then looking at pictures on amazon and I finally figured out how to get the rest of it put together. The instructions are rather vague. There are two arms attached to the winder that spin the yarn. Guess what? You only thread one of them. Once I got it put together it worked absolutely amazing! After all the problems getting it together it works like a charm! My new favorite toy. It’s quick and easy to use!

I was so excited to get this. Hard to put together. It does not wind up as easily as I had hoped. It gets snug or the yarn comes off the metal pieces. Large item to store. Could have been cheaper
