These would be very good for fixed walls/units that have plenty of space behind. Something like wood panelled walls etc. I had 2 circumstances (see photos) as I was running Cat6 from down stairs(white) to upstairs(blue).Firstly, the wiring is VERY easy, you don't need any tools, but a pair of fingernail cutters are useful for cutting off the excess. You don't need any network tools or crimps unless you are making your own cables/ends (which I did). As long as you know if you are using type A or B wiring, the diagrams on the white socket make it really easy (photo 1)However, I have plaster dab walls, this means there is little to no space between the plaster board and the wall so in both cases I had to chisel out some of the internal brickwork to allow for space. The bedroom (blue) had an existing BT socket hole that I resused but these face plates didn't fit the box. I was able to modify parts of the plate into little "wings" to make it work (photo 5).Downstairs (white) I had no box but again had to chisel the brickwork to make enough room for the cable (an issue of how my/new houses are built not the product). The faceplate goes on great however as you need make a hole in the plaster there is little to no support for the screws (photo 1).If you have something like a wooden or solid piece of wall, these would be absolutely perfect. For plasterboard, existing boxing and plaster dab walls* they work, but can be tight and fiddly to install.* Plaster dabbed walls are common in new builds in the UK. Usually on external walls this is were the builders cut costs by sticking the plasterboard (drywall USA) directly to the brick work with a blob of plaster instead of building a cavity space, which leaves you with around 1cm of space between the plasterboard and the bricks making it difficult to run any cables

Einfache Netzwerkdose, welche nicht besonders wertig wirkt. Die Verbindung ist jedoch stabil und der Anschluss verlief problemlos von der Hand. Das was ich erwartet habe und für den Preis o.k.

I used a 35mm deep dry lining box in a plasterboard wall, had to modify the box to allow the cable to connect to the connector. the back plate was just big enough to catch the edges of the box, had no issues with the face plate. I found this the best way to connect a hidden cable and just see a face plate
