If you take care of your stuff and store it carefully while hauling it around, you'll be fine. It's thin plastic but does fit on a Bowens mount with no issue, and works as it should. The gels are cheap and thin. They seem to work ok but will make my own for it.

Over the years I've collected a fairly large collection of Neewer gear. When I first started buying Neewer products, they were far less expensive than "name brands" but did not match the quality of those brands. These days, I consider Neewer to be a name brand. The quality of their products has improved significantly, and they offer exceptional value. This snoot will fit any strobe that uses the industry-standard Bowen S mount. I own a continuous light and a couple of strobes that have this mount. Regardless of whether the snoot is mounted on the continuous light or the strobes, it produces a very concentrated circle of light. Properly placed, you can get a perfectly lit subject where the light will fade to black. The snoot comes with a set of color filters and a grid. The grid concentrates the beam of light even further, while the filters can be used to create color effects. The grid appears to be made of metal, but the filters are made of plastic. Because the filters are plastic, you need to be very careful if you use this snoot on a continuous light because if the temperature gets too high, they will melt. Even LED lights, if they are powerful and left on for a long time a full power, can produce enough heat to potentially melt the filters. This, of course, is true for all brands of plastic filters.Overall, I'm pleased with this snoot and the included accessories and it will get a lot of use in my photo studio.

The Aluminium Alloy Conical Studio Snoot Kit with 5 Pieces Color Gel Filters and Honeycomb Grid for Bowens Mount Strobe Moonlights Flash Speedlight This is a super nice Bowens mount snoot with a medium grid (grid angle not specified, Looks to be a 40 degree grid), and 5 colored gels. The gels seems to be more effects or circus gels as opposed to color correction gels, however the blues and yellow may get you close, if necessary, but they do not appear to be color correction gels. It would be easy to cut whatever gel you want and use it with this snoot. It seems well made, is light, and not too big. I'd say medium length snoot. It mounts tight but not overly, the tolerance seems really good. I have used it with both continuous as well as strobe lighting, and it does it's job very well. I have no notes really, it just works the way you want it too. No issues, no problems. well made, nice extras, especially the grid, light weight and compact. And a great value. If you need a Bowens mount snoot this is for sure worth the look.

I got this snoot specifically for a product photo shoot for a new website. If you’re new to the world of photography, you’re probably saying “WTH is a snoot, and why do photographers need it?”It isn’t a nose on a cuddly-looking animal, it’s a tube with a series of short tubes at one end, and sometimes colored filters, you can put over a light to get a highly directional, narrow beam of light for edge lighting and side lighting.Since the dawn of time, photographers have made snouts from cut-up plastic straws and cardboard tubes. This is a lot tougher and easier to use; the body is aluminum, it has a bunch of colored filters, and it fits standard photographers’ lights. It does basically exactly what it should do. I’m giving it 4 stars instead of five because it arrived poorly packaged and banged up, with scratches and several small dents. (You can see them in the photo.) It still works fine but the packaging is way subpar. The shape kinda makes it look collapsible. It’s totally not, which is a shame because it takes up a fair bit of space in a camera bag—if it were collapsible it’d be perfect.
