Bought this to replace the halogen bulb for my desk lamp. I had the longest-lived halogen bulb- it went out after 10+ years of service. I haven't had this LED bulb for that long so can't comment on the longevity. But I am happy with its price and brightness for sure.

I haven't been able to keep any other replacement bulb more than 2 weeks before burning out (Whirlpool under-cabinet microwave).This bulb is going on a month 24/7 and no issues! They even work with the high / low brightness settings. They cost much less and don't get hot either. It's not super bright, but none of the other bulbs were super bright either (including the original with the brand new microwave).I'd definitely offer these again when/if they eventually burn out.

I got these bulbs since multiple fixtures in my house take them and the usual glass ones burn out/break pretty easily especially for the ones over my kitchen table which are frequently bumped. I was happily surprised to see how protected these bulbs are as they’re encased in a clear rubber-jelly like material which doesn’t break if I touch it and feels a lot more durable than the thin glass I’m used to. I plugged them into my light and even though the bulb is a bit bigger the light output and color matches fairly well—it looks a little more yellow in the pics but from a distance it looks similar to the others I have (I put the package of my other ones for comparison) overall I am satisfied with these G4 bulbs and I hope they last!
