I never realised there was a real problem with the original parts for the Nikon 70 - 200 F 2.8 lens foot. I read a few reviews on here and also on other parts of the Internet that said there was an ongoing problem with these parts dropping off and until searching for a replacement part I assumed I was the only one to have lost one of these. I don’t know where it fell off, I just pick the lens up one day and it had gone. I’m just glad it didn’t detach itself when I was holding it or mounting it on a Tripod or monopod because I would not have been a happy man. It’s great quality and longer than the original part which is also a bonus to me, when not on a monopod etcI like many sit low down on a stool at footy matches, as it sits nicely in the palm of my hand allowing just my fingers to rotate the zoom, and being longer it prevents me accidentally touching the focus ring when using AF Continuous. The best bit? It screws onto the camera ring so no chance of losing this one the same way as before. Infact if I had known the problem with the original part I would certainly have bought this part to replace it. Funny isn’t it but I’m now happy the original part dropped off.So if you do have this Nikon 70 - 200 f2.8 take the Nikon part off and bin it before it costs you in repair bills.Cheers Quinny

THis foot is not coming off nor will it let the lens separate from the foot unexpectedly like the last one did.

This is a fantastic solution to the existing Nikon 78-200 f2.8 FL ED VR lens foot for which you have to separately attach an arca-swiss quick release plate (or another propriety quick release plate) in order to attach it to the tripod head clamp. When I saw this, I was thrilled as it meant I no longer had to muck around with a quick release plate for the lens foot at all and could attach it directly to the tripod head clamp. The quality of the lens foot is fantastic and the arca rails extends along the full length of the foot; it fits the lens perfectly so you can slide it back and forward to fine tune the balance.. There is only one quirk with it (for those using a three-way proprietary Manfrotto non-Arca-Swiss head), but given what I was using, actually resolved another quirky issue I was dealing with previously.I have a Manfrotto 3-way tripod head that of course requires their proprietary quick release plate (which is not directly compatible with Arca-swiss). I had previously purchased a fantastic Hoage arca Swiss plate adapter to deal with it (also available on Amazon) that worked perfectly with one quirk of its own: because of the Hoage adapter plate clamp design, it causes the camera to be attached 90-degrees to the tripod head, meaning that it reverses lever functioning (which was a bit annoying, but still worked great). But because of the built in arca-swiss rails on the lens foot, it had the immediate affect of flipping the camera back around 90-degrees returning the proper functioning of my 3-way tripod head levers. I LOVE it! The quality of the foot is EXCELLENT and I have no concerns whatsoever about the longevity of the foot, nor about the foot potentially loosening up with time. As mentioned, it allows you to slide the lens forward and back along the rails to find the perfect balance when you use different camera bodies that may weigh more or less than the one you're currently using. The original Nikon foot now rests comfortably back in the box should I ever need it again (which I doubt at this point as I’m already spoiled now and won’t go back). This Leftfoto foot actually feels a little higher in quality than the manufacturer foot AND it’s far less expensive than a Nikon replacement foot not to mention the foot is slightly wider.I ABSOLUTELY recommend this lens foot as a replacement to the Nikon lens foot! It is strong, stable, reliable, and the rails deep enough I don’t have to worry whether or not the width of the Arca-Swiss clamp fully engages (IT DOES). I don’t worry whatsoever if it might pull out of the clamp, and considering the cost (and combined overall weight) of the professional gear it supports, that’s saying something! You will not regret it! Bravo, Leftfoto!!!

問題無く使えてはいるが、取り付け部分の溝が本体側とあっていないため、溝が機能していません。ネジが抜けると、落下の危険があるので、そのあたりが心配な方にはおすすめしません。
