This replacement lens foot is a very inexpensive option, that helps to secure my 800mm lens to any arca Swiss type tripod, or monopod. It fits very nicely onto the lens, and was easy to install. It's nicely machined, and has a pretty low profile. I do feel that the foot is strong, secure, and the arca Swiss compatibility is very handy as well. I use a carbon fiber monopod with an arca Swiss mount, and this seamlessly integrates very nicely. All in all, the design is quite good, and strong. The reason I removed one star is because I was somewhat disappointed that it lacked any kind of padding. Considering that it gets mounted to a very expensive telephone lens, a little bit of padding would've been a no brainer, to add a bit of friction security, and safety. Don't get me wrong, I don't feel as though there's any sort of mounting insecurity with this lens foot, but I'd have gladly paid a few dollars more to have had the padding as well. Overall, it's nicely designed, and seamlessly integrates with my lens. If you're looking for a very inexpensive option, this one is well worth considering.

I was at first confused as to why the design on this replacement foot from Leftfoto looked different from the one I purchased last year. It turns out that my other foot was from a company called Leofoto which is different from Leftfoto. The foot from each company is excellent with slightly different designs. This foot from Leftfoto doesn't have the padded platform that both Nikon's original foot and the Leofoto replacement foot has. This foot also doesn't have a QR port made out of stainless steel for added strength like the Leofoto model. Instead, the QR port on this foot is simply machined into the aluminum body which makes me trust it a little less than Leofoto's stainless steel version -- especially when I have a $14,000.00 lens hanging from it.
