I ordered these because I make things using tried and tested techniques and old machinery, so these fit right in.I'm familiar with this type of classic 'string and button' envelope, but had forgotten all about them and hadn't seen them with this type of premium finish before.I love this sort of thing, they don't use any glues or plastic, they're reusable, and they look wonderful. I can create a premium look at a reasonable price, and they can be reused by me or the recipient. Decorated with a paint pen, ink stamp, or crafting materials they look great.I use them for leather samples, laces and accessories (I make shoes), and for gifts and personal keepsakes.The price is fair since they're nicely finished with thick paper/thin card stock and a metal stationery eyelet. Ideally, they would be available with optional simple shipping envelopes to fit them in, though I'm sure I can find some to fit...

These envelopes are really strong and sturdy, and reusable. You just use the string & washer mechanism to keep contents inside but not send in the post as they are as they don't seal in a secure way. You could however use them to hand deliver a special invite to an event or store a keepsake. The string & washer mechanism is very tactile and gives them a bit of a retro character. They are fun. Which way will you take the string and what shape will you create: a cross or two parallel lines? The envelopes are delivered in a brown cardboard box. All in all, a good set for anyone who appreciates stationery.

As someone who crafts with traditional techniques and vintage machinery, these string and button envelopes are a perfect fit. I'd forgotten about these classic beauties, but I was blown away by the premium quality.Made without any plastic, they're reusable and environmentally friendly. These are really nice envelopes that are perfect for when you want to make a good impression. They have been made very well from a good manila paper. You can tell that these are a high quality item the moment you handle them. I will use these to send out specially printed photos and designs.They have brass coloured washers with bright white string to complement the look. They are also made using recycled materials which is a plus in my book. The C6 envelopes measure 114 x 161mm and I think that you could comfortably fit something inside that's about 2mm shorter on each dimension.Even better is that they are very well packaged and protected. They arrived in a thick cardboard box/sleeve and there was no danger of them getting dented fronts or bent corners - exactly how the packaging should be for items like this.Overall I am very impressed with these, and I think that anyone receiving something in these envelopes is going to be pleasantly surprised. Recommended.

Reusable 180gsm durable mailing solution ~ SW162 x 25.This type of reusable envelopes always reminds me of solicitors envelopes because we had our first home keys handed to use in such an envelope.So now we do the same, we are a property management family and we are able to label or write on the envelopes, pop the keys in and use the string to keep the envelopes closes and easily opened when needed.The price at the time of this review is £13.99p, which works out to be 56p each.Cost more than.
