It's small in size, delivered yesterday so i put in a handle into it but it wasn't tight enough so I made up a epoxy glue and put it in the hole and then the handle and leave it a week to harden up and hopefully it will keep handle in while brushing moss off the tarmac drive sides.....1 week later, turned out a fantastic Job,handle very secure in brush head and brushing was a pleasure.

Should thread the hole for common size handle thread attachments, otherwise cool beans.

I was initially put off by the shallow hole for fixing the broom handle; however, this has proven to be quite adequate and my broom handle fits well by friction alone. I have used the broom to attack moss patches on our tarmac drive. Weeds, clumps of moss and ingrained dirt are removed quite "easily" but using the broom is very hard work (as you would expect) when tackling larger areas. The broom head appears to be very sturdy and well made. It should last a few years of occasional use.

The brush head arrived very quickly and after fitting a good solid handle I was able to attack the moss and weeds on the Patio, drive and garden path.It does a superb job and will be used on a regular basis to keep the same three areas clean all summer long.

....at getting rid of that most dreaded, despised, and dangerous of garden growths - MOSS. In Japan it is perversely considered to add a sense of calm, age, and stillness to a garden scene whereas in most other countries it does not engender a sense of calm quite the opposite as it annoys the life out of gardeners who can only think about how on earth can it be eliminated. In the past it did have positive uses for ancient circumpolar peoples who used moss for bedding, basketry, wound dressing, diapers and menstrual absorption. However, and thankfully we have moved on and moss now seems to have little other usefulness than the physical and mental challenge of disposal. In the past I have opted for what appeared on the face of it to be the least physical option viz. that of buying liquid solutions that claim to deal with the problem. My moss infestation covers many different areas in the garden thus needing quite a lot of the liquid costing a fair bit. The trouble is that even with using a much more concentrated solution than recommended by the manufacturer, the moss appears to go brown and look dead but it still requires considerable effort to remove it.However, the Lessman Wire Broom Head is by far and away the most effective method yet to deal with getting rid of moss. And the good news is that it is effective on untreated moss (having first wetted it) thus saving the cost and effort of buying and applying the liquid remedies. Alas, hard graft is required but the result is excellent and at much less cost. I am, however heartened by that old axiom "Nobody ever drowned in his own sweat".As far as I am concerned, despite the graft, this wire broom is the best method for ridding oneself of the dreaded moss pandemic - until the next time that is because as sure as eggs are eggs "it will be back!"
