I got this for my filly when she's in her stall to try to keep her from getting bored during those times. It's been up for a few weeks so far. She licks at the small mint refill just a little, if I hold it for her. Otherwise she just kinda looks at it from time to time and finds something else to do. I have the molasses refill on the top part of this toy, but it doesn't change or catch her interest at all. I like the concept--hanging toy--and that I could use 3 different refill flavors if I wanted to. This seems like it could be enjoyable for a horse that understands it.

Information that the treat is NOT included should be added to the description. Information about the product doesn’t provide this information (!)Very disappointing. In addition, the picture is very misleading.

We previously had Likit boredom buster- my horses busted it. It was held in the ring by plastic pegs, once one broke, it was all over. But I still had a large supply of Likits, so I ordered this one. It seems like it will hold up better, though it is more difficult to secure the pots into. I also find it irritating that no Likits are included with it... I mean, even a coupon would be nice, people. If this one breaks, I’m done. This is way better than the other brand with apple holder though- my horses took that apart within a week.

Just a heads up: this does not come with the treat part, it is only the holder.I got this for my haflinger pony who is on stall rest due to an injury. He hates stalls and paces so I wanted something that would keep him from pacing. At first when I brought it out he showed no interest. When I came back out the next day he had demolished and eaten all of the big Apple treat, somehow knocked one of the mini ones out of the ball, eaten half of the other mini mint treat, and had the whole thing tangled in the metal fence bars. He certainly kept busy! I wish his intake was more regulated, but I imagine once he got his teeth into it he was able to rip the treat right off. Overall I’m glad that he’s occupied and has decided he likes it. And the toy itself withstood his destructive eating which is good.
