I write this review after using the camera for 5 months now.It looks great, kind of retro, but feels like what it is: cheap plastic. The quality is low, with a special mention to the lens: 2/3 of the image will be blur and distorted. For the price don't spect anything better. The aperture is so small (f10/f16) that you should use ISO400 on a sunny day or even ISO800, otherwise most of your pictures will be useless. Of course, forget about using it in interiors unless you have a flash, thanks to the fixed shutter (1/100, or Bulb). Also, be ready to take a bunch of accidental double exposures. You will forget to roll the film after taking a picture many times. Thankfully you may get some interesting results during the learning process. In summary: It's FANTASTIC :)For the price you have lots of fun. The lens is crap, yes, but the wide-angle effect is awesome, and the sprockets on the image look amazing. Also, yes, the aperture is small (f10/f16) which means you don't have to worry about focusing: Almost everything will be in focus.I particularly love how you have to think and consider each picture, something partially lost with digital photography.100% recommended.UPDATE: I forgot! Get a DigitaLIZA 35mm Scanning Mask as most developing stores don't provide a scanning service that include the sprockets. With this and a decent scanner (I would recommend the Epson Perfection V600 Home Photo Scanner), you'll be Okay. The scanning is a bit tricky, but there are plenty of tutorials about how to scan film with sprockets.

Camera is light , being very simple, at the first film used I made mistakes the shutter isn’t coupled to anything and so multiple exposures – accidental or otherwise – are easily made , taken the first picture and so produced doubles. Like most Lomography cameras, it’s great fun to use, but you wouldn’t want it to be your only camera. The sprocket effect is cool, but gets old quickly.

Very original product, and fun to use!Needed a bit of tape, to hold the switch in place, to avoid accidental moving the switch form normal to bulb mode. This could be more firm, like the selector for sunlight or cloudy weather is.If you load the film in a dark bag, designed for developing, you can get one more frame in a roll. That is 19 wide frames, if you choose the 36 frame roll.Very nice!

I love the simplicity and sheer fun of Lomography A.G.'s plastic cameras, and the Sprocket Rocket delivers! I love shooting with this thing. My only gripe is that it should probably come packaged with a Digitaliza film holder; scanning the full width of 35mm film with my existing epson film holders is a little tricky (ok, actually, a LOT tricky).Because it's so light, I'm finding that it's always in my camera bag, and always loaded and ready. Because it's so fun and simple, I find that I'm taking just as many risks as I would with a Diana or Holga (or LC-A)... but with the SprocketRocket I'm burning through film just a tad faster. Oh well, that's what short ends are for...

Die Cam macht einfach Spass! Sobald man die ersten Filme entwickelt hat, will man immer mehr. Ich habe gute Erfahrungen mit dem Agfa Precisa (Diafilm) und dem Fuji Superia X-TRA 400 gemacht.
