My VW Tiguans rear electric brake started to play up intermittently and basically locked on. After a few weeks of this it finally gave in and locked on in Tesco petrol station. once the brake was released I took the old one out and left it out. VW wanted £70 for a new one so I took the gamble and ordered this one, I won’t lie I thought it was a bad idea. It came within 2 days and I popped it in and was worried to even turn the car on, everything worked perfectly. It actually seemed to work better than the original one. I had a quick drive and flicked the auto hold on, not really expecting it to work but again it worked perfectly. So anyone having any issues and looking at these with a little fear, fear not, they work absolutely perfectly. Saved £50 as well

Great alternative to paying VW prices. Plugged it in and all dashboard warnings gone.

Recently picked up a MK1 VW Tiguan.The handbrake switch/auto hold button is one of the key contact points with the car, so over time the stock one picks up scratches and marks.This is a cheaper way to repair than the VW equivalent, the connector fits in firmly. Felt the switch is a bit loose than stock which is surprising given it's newer, but guess that's the risk you take with pattern parts.
