I am on my second batch of cress and radish sprouts. First batch took 6 days, I then cut them and put them in an airtight container in the fridge, so I could start straight ahead with the next batch. They do the job well and look good on my windowsill.

I'm so pleased I found these, they sit nicely on the windowsill for growing micro greens all year round.

I’m currently testing some cress seeds with the LUVCOSY Sprouts Propagation Set, and it works perfectly. The trays are well-designed for even water drainage, preventing mold or excess moisture buildup. The lids help maintain humidity, making germination faster and more consistent. It’s a great setup for growing broccoli, alfalfa, radishes, and other sprouts at home. Cleaning is easy, and the trays feel sturdy enough for repeated use. One improvement would be slightly deeper trays for larger sprouts, but overall, it’s an excellent set for beginners and experienced sprouters alike.

This sprout kit is a game-changer for DIY growers, offering a cost-effective alternative to expensive store-bought sprouts. With reusable trays featuring 0.05-inch mesh holes, it's perfect for broccoli seeds, microgreens, and seedlings. The stackable design saves space, and while the instructions are minimal, online resources provide ample guidance. My kit exceeded expectations with six of each tray type, and the only maintenance required is hand washing the humidity dome.Overall, this seed starter kit is an excellent choice for home-grown sprouts and microgreens. Its budget-friendly price, versatility, and efficient design make it a standout option. The small mesh holes ensure effective seed retention, and the extra trays and domes are a welcome bonus that easily outweighs minor drawbacks like inadequate instructions and mismatched product images. The instructions provided with the sprout kit are minimal, which may leave beginners feeling uncertain about the sprouting process. To assist those new to sprouting, I’ve outlined some helpful instructions and suggestions below that can enhance your experience and success.Revised Instructions: Method 1: Without Growing Medium1. Soak Seeds: Submerge seeds in clean water for 8-12 hours.2. Initial Setup: Rinse soaked seeds thoroughly and spread them evenly on the tray with micro holes. Place this tray over the water reservoir and add room temperature water.3. Daily Care: Rinse seeds 2-3 times daily with fresh water, tilting the tray to drain excess water after each rinse. Change the reservoir water 2-3 times daily.4. Environment: Ensure good air circulation and maintain a room temperature of 65-75°F (18-24°C).5. Harvesting: Harvest when sprouts reach your desired size (typically within 3-7 days).Method 2: With Growing Medium1. Prepare Medium: Moisten growing medium to a damp sponge consistency and fill the tray with it.2. Sow Seeds: Spread seeds evenly on the surface of the medium and lightly press them in.3. Setup: Place the tray over the water reservoir and add room temperature water.4. Daily Care: Water once a day or every other day, keeping the medium evenly moist but not soggy.5. Environment: Same as Method 1.6. Harvesting: Harvest when microgreens reach desired size (typically 7-14 days). These detailed instructions provide a clearer approach to sprouting, particularly regarding care routines and environmental conditions, which may significantly improve your success rate.

I've grown several batches of microgreens with this. It works great:1. I use a 5" hemp mat and wet it down with a 50% hydroponic solution, then fill the bottom till it's touching the bottom of the top grate.2. I add seeds to the hemp mat, a bit less than 1/2 a tsp and spread them as evenly as I can.3. I add a lid and let them go for 10 days. Voila, a nice harvest of microgreens.Easy to harvest, easy to clean, rugged build, they'll last a long time.

I have tried many solutions to grow micro-greens, bean sprouts and grasses. Most result in the seeds molding. These are a great solution to that issue. These sprouting boxes are tall enough to keep the moisture underneath the seed tray a perfect distance to prevent the seeds from molding. These boxes have clear tops and adjustable openings that allow you to control the humidity at the early stages of growth and easily remove once the seeds are well established. The plastic parts are good quality and not flimsy at all. The lids that came in my kit were surprisingly thicker than I expected. These boxes should last a long time if cared for. This has improved my sprouting game and I now have much better success than even growing in a glass jar, which was my favorite method. The kit came with six boxes with lids. This works great for my family of three and also growing greens for my cat and rabbit. It's now so easy for me to start seeds on the counter top and then move the boxes to the garden window after they start sprouting.I recommend these for everyone, from newbies to the experienced sprouters. I am glad I learned to sprout in glass jars as a child, otherwise, I might not have kept it up well into adulthood. All the other solutions that were supposed to make it easy just never worked until I got these. I will probably not sprout in jars again. These are currently 33 USD for a 6-pack. I do think that is overpriced for plastic, which is why I removed a star.Try these first so you don't waste money on other sprouting tray solutions like I did.
