This is a great quality kit for beginners or practice. The tools are good quality without being super expensive. The scissors are small but very sharp. Be careful! I love the multi-color pins. They come in very handy! The brush is nice. It really brushes out the cord and differently from the way my pet brush does. The cord is good quality but if you are making the owl from the tutorial just know that 3mm braided cord is bigger than 3mm twisted cord and an owl made with the cord in the kit will come out smaller than the owl in the tutorial. See my photos for an idea of size difference.Overall the kit is a great value and the tools are good quality. Definitely worth the buy!

I choose this particular owl macrame kit specifically because of the photo of the finished product. Out of all the macrame owl kits for sale, this one looked the neatest and the most like an owl. The video tutorial provided has an end result that DOES NOT match what is being shown to the customer on this Amazon listing. The video appears to be helpful for demonstrating how to make the different knots necessary, but I do not want to spend time making something that looks like the 2nd photo shared here (from end of video tutorial). Very disappointed in this purchase and the video. Was really looking forward to this project. Please provide a video with results that look like an actual owl and less like a deranged cartoon cat.

It says 22 ropes at 4.10 yards! I read that as each cord and that’s a lot of length to work with but if that’s not right then where does it tell you or show you the length of the cords for the ears and the length of the body? 4.10 yards for the ears is 12 cords for each ear 6 cords it’s too hard to manage them at that length what am I doing wrong? The length of the cords in the video seems very manageable and not 4.10 yards each! Very confusing. So, all I have now is cut cord obviously all in the wrong length!

First I received only a spool of the cotton cord and nothing else. The replacement arrived complete but the spool of cotton cord had a tiny bit and was obviously rewound and used. The rest of the cotton cord was cut up into 16 pieces and shoved in the package all tangled up. The kit I received was obviously a used and returned kit that the company didn't even bother to look at and resent out as is. Very disappointed. Not worth the money.
