I found the cord a little hard to work with, I'm not used to working with such thick, stiff cord. I had to take breaks to give my hands a rest.The colors I ordered grey and white are lovely and they arrived on time and well packaged.All in all I am very happy with my order.

I love working with this cord for macrame dresses. The variety of colors are amazing, the cord is soft and easy to work with but very durable! Will always keep buying as shipping is so fast!

When we talk about how a rope feels and works we refer to the “hand” of each the rope. A rope with a stiff or hard hand feels coarse and rough it’s stiff and difficult to work with. A rope with a soft hand feels smooth to the touch and is flexible and easy to work with. This cord has a nice soft hand. It is very smooth and slides well when knotted. But that’s also a drawback because it doesn’t hold the terminal or ending knots as well as a harder handed rope does. For a cord with a soft hand it takes a knot well and holds on. Surprisingly the ends don’t unravel like similar braided cords as long as there is little usage. With moderate to heavy use the ends would need to be dressed either whipped, wrapped with twine or thread, my preference, or glued or melted. Gluing with superglue can give you a stiff point convenient for working your rope through itself for certain types of knots or braids. I find melting the ends often leaves sharp points,I couldn’t wait to get to grips with this cord. I have been working on various types of Turk’s head knots, see the picture. This is a 6 bight, 3 lead Turk’s head because it turns back on itself six times in groups of three. It was a breeze to tie, with the smooth and soft hand. I used it to decorate my reacher that I use to grab things beyond my reach. (Great observation Captain Obvious.)Now we get a good start on a macramé plant hanger with square knots and a left lead twist. I always tie a knot in the end of the right hand cord when I am tying square knots so that I know the lead alternates and the cord without the knot is the one that pulls through. If the knotted cord pulls through I can quickly catch my mistake and not have to undo lots of knots.The twist always leads with the same hand, left hand lead the twist turns from top left to bottom right. Right hand lead is vice versa.It slides, flows very easily and is fun to work with.This cord needs a little more energy to knot tightly. I find it takes roughly twice the length of the knotting cords to the base cords. Around 24 square knots (counting both sides) is 5-6 inches, the same number of knots in the twist is only 4 inches. It takes 8 knots for a full twist.It comes in lots of lively colors. I chose the ecru because I have a very colorful begonia to hang and the natural color will set it off nicely.

Nice and saturated color just like pictures shown. The polyester gives the finished project a soft luster look, very different than cotton cords. Quality and price point is quite competitive to other major brands. The only down side is it's a slippery when making knots or tying ends due to its synthetic material, takes some practices to master it.
