Unless you are under a size 6 in clothes and a woman i cannot recommend these. They feel so tight on me it’s like as compression sock. So unhappy with them

I bought these to wear under my walking boot after ankle surgery. These have a soft lining inside and are just the right weight for this. They also don't compress too much which I didn't want on my incision. The weight is good and so is the height (I'm 5'4"); they go to the top of my boot which is about knee high. They did pill up a bit but not sure if that was from washing or from inside the boot but it really doesn't bother me.As an aside, if you are reading this you're probably sad about the whole walking boot situation but trust me, take care of yourself and soon you'll be back on your feet!

I recently had a fall and broke several bones in my foot and ankle as well as a partial achilles tendon tear. I have never had to be in a full air boot like this and knew I would need something comfortable to wear underneath as I will have this boot for probably 4mos or more. Currently have been in it for about 6wks and these socks are truly life savers! I thought I could go without then and after a couple of weeks my asking had become so itchy and dry that I had no choice. I like to do plenty of research before ordering anything and when I found these the reviews were good...the reviews didnt like! I love in florida and my primary concern was how hot these would be or get when having to wear a boot pretty much 24/7. These are thin but thick enough to be soft and comfortable while allowing breathability. I have already worn and washed both a couple of times and can say the only con is that that fo show dirt fairly quickly and were easily frayed after a few spots being "rubbed" in my boot. Although compared to others the price is perfect so I give 5 stars I am ordering more and suggest buying a couple pairs if your meant to be in a boot for longer than a few weeks. I just wish they had different colors lol.

I got into a head on collision and ended up with a bimalleolar fracture (tibula and fibula) and ended up with 2 screws in my ankle and foot. After 3 orthoglass splints, and two hard casts (14 Staples weren't ready after they cut off the first one) they put me into a boot. They gave me this slip to wear that was the equivalent of an ace bandage that had been stretched around a tree trunk for 3 years, then given to me. It was lose and would get all jammed up in my boot and it would drive me crazy. So searched Amazon for "socks or slips for boot post surgery"....and after sifting through compression socks and rain boots for dogs (seriously), I came across these. I must stress that I used these about 1½ after my surgery. I would not recommend putting these on right when you get put into a boot if you have a surgical incision that is healing. Otherwise if you had a clean break and did not require surgery these should be alright to put on in a shorter time period after your injury. They are extremely soft and they are not at all tight or like compression socks. Comes with two socks and they are long enough to surpass the top of your boot and they stay in place for the most part. Consult your doctor before ordering to make sure they are ok for you to wear depending on your injury. Good luck and happy healing.

I found these socks worked well after I fractured my ankle and wore a walking boot for several weeks. They came in a pair, so I was able to wear one and wash the other, so I had a clean sock every day. They held up well for the several weeks I used them. My skin can be pretty sensitive to knit materials. These socks were comfortable and didn't itch. I've seen some folks complain that they were hot. I'm always cold, so I'm not the best judge of that. However, I can say I live in FL and they were never uncomfortably warm for me. They were long enough to come to the top of the tall walking boot.
