Die Mega-Ray Basking Lamp D3 UV Flood ist eine Mischlichtlampe, die Licht, Wärme und einen wertvollen Anteil an UVA und UVB-Strahlung liefert. Durch den Öffnungswinkel von 35° werden sonnenanbetende Reptilien auf großer Fläche mit allem versorgt, was sie brauchen. Aktivität und Wohlbefinden werden gesteigert, wichtige Prozesse wie die Verdauung in Gang gebracht. Das UVA ermöglicht den Tieren ein natürliches Farbsehen, UVB ist wichtig für die Synthese von Vitamin D3 und leistet damit einen Beitrag zur Knochengesundheit und einem gesunden Hautmilieu.
Mischlichtlampen sind eine Mischform aus Glühlampe und HQL-Leuchte. Wärmeleistung, Lichtleistung und UV-Anteil bewegen sich im mittleren Bereich. Die kompakten Maße, ein integriertes Vorschaltgerät und die E27 Fassung machen die Mega-Ray Basking Lamp D3 UV Flood zu einem praktischen Gesamtpaket. Die mittlere Lebensdauer beträgt 6000 Stunden (unverbindlich), nach ca. 2000 Stunden Betriebszeit ist ein Ersatz empfehlenswert, um die volle Leistung zu garantieren. This used to be my favorite bulb for all my reptiles. It used to provide the best UV output for the longest period of time. Now it lasts a month. 30 days for this price? Also this company used to have the best customer service. Miss you Bob. I’ll have to switch brands after the disappointment.

The first one I bought lasted probably about a year on a normal day/night cycle for my rhino iguana. The second burned out in a few months, and the third in about a month plus or minus. Pretty disappointed since I heard great things about this brand in particular but it seems to be going down-hill. Very unfortunate since getting the lighting and heat for a large lizard is no small task and this bulb made it easier. Oh well.

Doesn’t last and you can’t get ahold of Bob anymore. This is my 3rd bulb that’s burned out in a year, total BS, I built my Tegu Enclosure with these bulbs in mind set high so they wouldn’t burn or radiate my Tegus.Crappy 275 watt bulbs keep burning out, another one burned out today, I’d switch to a 160 but I can’t drop the fixture that far so it would give the correct amount of UVB to my Tegus. I hate this bulb and I’m stuck replacing it every couple months until I can figure out how to drop the light 2’ so the 160 will work. Even tho there’s a one year warranty on them, i can’t get ahold of the company so the warranty isn’t worth the paper it’s written on.

I had one die within a month but overall these bulbs are fantastic. Everyone at my house gets a megaray for heat/uvb
