I set up this machine today, so here are my observations and recommendations:1. Assembly: when you scan the QR code, you get the YouTube video by the manufacturer, which starts from partially assembled machine, so I assume they changed the packaging to reduce the size. There are more parts to assemble now. I still suggest watching the video, but for actual assembly, there are printed instructions hidden (attached) to the back of the cardboard square with bolts and nuts. The instructions are clear and well explained, except there is a mix up of parts ##31 and 32 on the pictures. Overall, it took about 15 min to assemble, the machine is very light so turning it around to tighten the bolts is not an issue.2. Operation: (1) The machine is VERY SMALL and LOW, it wouldn't fit a big person. I am 5'8" and my knees are still in the way of my hands on the return stroke - yes, trust me I know how to row. All rowers I used before were higher. (2) the machine has very low resistance even at maximum position 16. It may be good for old people or people in poor physical shape, but any reasonably fit person will find this machine not adequate for an exercise. I spent 20 min at maximum resistance, completed 450 strokes... and only spent 57 calories. After 20 min of exercise, I fell absolutely nothing and no tired muscles at all. Stopped because I was bored. I am not a very fit person but this machine clearly felt like a waste of time.I am not sure about the authenticity of all these positive reviews on Amazon, but this machine is not adequate unless you are a small person in very poor physical shape.

The missing puzzle piece to my gym. A whole body cardio where I can get to mid heart rate zone or go as hard as I can with the right technique. There seems to be an art to Rowing I appreciate. I would describe it as pretty quiet but not as quiet as I thought it would be. Oddly enough none of the machinery is making noise its just the pull strap when it rubs when you pull it out so thats about as good as it gets I think. It's very smooth and the operation on this is perfect. Built very well and solid. It's probably not for professional rower types who want that long arm extension but it gets my heart rate up and works all the muscles it's supposed to so thats all you can ask for unless you want to pay two or three times as much and for something that would take up a lot more space. It doesn't take up that much space and I'm surprised how well it can be moved around. I would recommend this Merach Q1S rower. Im about average height and around middle aged so Im no athlete. My arms are also not the longest. Athletes over 6 feet 1 or 2 who are fairly fit might find this to be an entry level rower but for people like me this is great.

*update* the company reached out and provided some excellent troubleshooting and customer service - I’ve adjusted my rating to reflect that.There is nothing Bluetooth about this rower. The description is misleading. It has a simple LCD monitor with no way of connecting to any app. Having said that, it’s still a very quiet machine, moves smoothly, easy to assemble. Max tension is fine for me but I don’t think it would be for advanced physically fit users.

Really enjoying the rower. Easy to assemble with solid instructions. Is very smooth to row, and quiet!Flaw: the foot straps/rests are awful. They don't tighten very well, so if you have smaller feet it will be frustrating (my feet are womens US/CA size 8 and use hearty runners!). Despite reefing trying to tighten the straps and ensure my foot is snug in the rest, my foot still manages to slip out while rowing. Additionally because I keep trying to tighten it so my feet don't pop out, the velcro seem is already wearing and coming undone. Disappointing quality compared to the rest of the machine.Otherwise very happy with this affordable, quiet, and compact rower!

I’m looking to buy an Oar board next year and it’s very expensive so I wanted to make sure that I could operate it and most of all enjoy it.This rower will give you a good workout and it’s enjoyable ,I even get out of breath when I follow a program on Utube,I would recommend it,and it can store in an upright position which makes it great on floor space.
