When I got this my idea was to have my firewall and some not too demanding internet facing services running on it.I've had this for couple of month now. It's now running Proxmox and OPNSense as firewall/reverse proxy inside of a VM.The hardware it self is fully adequate for the original task however the passive cooling makes it impossible to fully utilize the CPU. Any CPU utilization that averages above 10% will eventually lead to thermal throttling.I now have it stand on top of another machine so the top fans will also act like fans for the mini pc. This keeps the CPU in normal temperatures. However the NVME drive is almost always at toasty 70C.So if you want to fully utilize this mini pc you need to add 1 external fan on top of the case and one internal to keep the NVME cool.Overall It's a very good Mini PC for the money.4 stars because of the inadequate cooling.

These low powered and passive cooled devices can be turned into a NAS for nvme drives. Just ask the ever friendly HUNSN support to replace the wifi with a riser card to extend 1 nvme to 4 nvme's.This way you can run nvme in raid. I added 32GB ram to each unit so they can spin all VM's the cpu can handle (running 4 in parallel on some)Again, if you have any doubts or question just send a mail to hunsn support and Elena will be happy to assist you

I have been running proxmox with some virtual machine with it.Did not get any performance issues, everything is silent, Good if you are getting started with home lab.

The system is small, but feels very robust. It is heavy for its little size, lots of metal for cooling the box.The system works well with 32 GByte of DDR5-4800 memory (brand: Vengeance) and a Kingston NV2 SSD, 1 TB. I have Ubuntu 22 running on it and it runs flawlessly, out of the box. I did extensive testing, stressing the CPU and memory, and no errors were encountered. When running al low CPU load, the system runs cool (sensors tells that the core temperature of the CPU is around 40 C, on light load it rises to 50 C.When the CPU is stressed strongly (e.g. 6 cores, running at 100%), then the system gets quite hot (core temperature 75 .. 80 C at ambient temperature of 23 C). The outside of the box then also becomes quite hot, so hot that you cannot bear holding it in your bare hands for more than a few seconds. When an old 12 V PC fan is connected to one of the USB ports and put loosely on top of the box, then even under heavy load, the core temperature does not exceed 60 C and the box itself only feels lukewarm. I use it like that. The slowly spinning fan only takes a few tens of mA from the USB and no dust can reach the inside of the system in that way. There are four holes at the bottom of the box, to which an 80 mm fan can be attached, but the disadvantage of that is that dust will be blown inside the box. With the solution I hooked up, no dust gets inside, and this provides really good cooling.

Gerät läuft wunderbar, macht was es soll. Ansonsten: 5 Sterne.

It's a N100; it runs a bit warmer than I thought it would be. It comes loaded with PFSense +. However, it comes pre-loaded in Chinese; and not the easiest to switch. it also has dns defaulting to CHINA. While it does have PFSense + on it, it does not seem to be registered as a PFSense + client. It runs in the 107 degree F to 120 F so far, but I am only running one client behind it right now.I've been working thru the configs for about a week now. I wanted a more complicated and segmented network due to the types of devices on it, so that's my fault, Once I figured out that I could not get rid of the Chinese DNS/language that it would default to upon reset, I reloaded it with OpnSense.. So far, pretty good. In reality, I was trying to shoehorn 5 distinct networks into 3 on the older wifi router; really wanted a bit more, so this is what I'm starting with. In my case, I wanted to segregate home computers, guest wifi, IOT, storage, and work computers onto distinct networks. This will certainly allow that, along with a managed switch. There is a learning curve, and I should just buy a dedicated access point. The unit's construction is pretty dang good. It does come predrilled for wi-fi antennas, but I haven't been able to find a compatible M.2 wifi card that would act as a Access Point. IF I find one, well, there's room for one inside. Overall, I'm fairly happy with the unit. Actually, I haven't been able to find any fault other than the Chinese defaults; I was able to switch it to English, but upon reset, it went back to Chinese defaults.Should I mention again, the build quality is pretty dang good. Heatsinks are quite BEEFY.. N100 is probably overkill, but it's a more modern design than some of the other variants that use older processors and older DDR3, but those actually cost MORE. I chose the 8G model, mainly because I didn't want to wait.

Good little machine. Works beautifully as a hypervisor with Proxmox.Future iterations may need better or active cooling by default, though.Especially for the SSDs and if you allow two of them inside. Without proper airflow, they get toasty, even at idle. Not to the point of overheating, but an almost constant 60C is probably not good for long-term durability? If anyone else wants to add a fan, the CPU-FAN or SYS-FAN headers requires some like a "1.25mm Pitch (PicoBlade) size" connector. Haven't tested that yet, still waiting on material. But normal 4pin PWM or even the smaller 4pin GPU connector are too big.Small note about boot up: If no display is connected to the machine, it will beep five times after the normal boot beep. At first I thought something was wrong, but it's just an indication that no display is connected.
