Wildland firefighter here. I was looking to purchase a utility shovel to store in my pack whenever I was out on dispatch. Saw this and it didn’t look too bad; overall design looked like it would fulfill what I was looking for. I decided to scrape at some loose and soft sediment and with the first few swings, the handle snapped. Don’t really know what else to say... If I’m able to get the toolhead attached to a longer and more sturdy tool handle and the shovelhead turns out to be a fair piece, I’ll increase my rating.

I wasn't sure of this shovel, but I took a chance. Turns out, I really like this shovel. This is perfect for me in the garden. It's not so large that I can't handle it, and not so small that it doesn't do enough. It's a very strong shovel, and made very well. I'm old, and can't always lift well, and although it's heavier than what I'm used to, it's still not too heavy for me to work with. The blade is 8 1/2 inches from the pointed part of tip, to the square at the other end, and 6 inches across. The "spike" part is 5 1/4 inches long, and just right for making rows in my soil, or to dig small holes too. This is a wonderful tool for my garden, and I'm sure I will find many other uses for it too. I'm very pleased with the Mil-Tec Folding shovel, and do consider it a very nice find. I think you will like it too. One of my Youtube friends showed how he uses his shovel, and I glad he did. You can take a look at it if you like, and I'm very happy I found one that works as well as his does. See it at work below.[...]

The shovel arrived wrapped in bubble wrap and a bit of annoying tape. It left the handle pretty sticky, but I can remedy that with some acetone.It didn't come with any directions. The round piece attached to the handle twists upward to kind-of lock the shovel/pick in the angle you want.It's a bit wobbly and after some movement the nut gets loose.I wouldn't use the shovel for long digs, but to move semi soft dirt around it should work out just fine.The saw blades on the sides are not sharp, and they are enameled like the rest of the shovel. I don't feel they're going to be used much though so it's not a big deal.Overall, it's a shovel. No bells or whistles.

The handle is shorter than a regulation Army shovel. Everything else is fine

This is an extemely study copy of an older style military e-tool. I am very pleased and it compares well to the real thing. I will probably order more for to give as Christmas presents

Totaler Schrott. Das Teil ist klapprig zusammengeschustert und der Stiel ist beim 1. Mal in Gebrauch weggebrochen. Leider hatte ich das Teil erst ein paar Wochen nach Kauf ausprobiert....
