I've only had the case a few days but it's well built, good quality and accurately sized. Good foam inserts and the velcro straps hold the weapon securely. Time will tell but 10 from 10 at the moment.

I am 68 and don’t shoot much anymore. So I bought this case basically for storage. I have a CZ455 17 bolt action and an old Marlin 39A lever action. Both are in excellent condition. I just wanted a little more protection than the soft sleeve style I had them in. I got both rifles in the case with no issues whatsoever. It was $65 so I certainly wasn’t expecting a $200 quality case. Straps were all there and installed with no problems. I can’t say anything about the durability right now but I think with a little bit of caution and care it will definitely work fine for me. I will be carrying it in the trunk of my car from time to time. I definitely won’t be throwing it around or letting it fall over. I’m getting old so I take much better care of my stuff these days. Oh, and I’m retired on social security so a budget friendly case was the best I could do. My first impression is that I did just fine by picking this case. Slow down a bit and take care of your stuff. May your aim be steady and your squeeze be smooth.

I like these so much I ordered two of them. They fit a lot of long guns and are very functional and protect the guns and easily to move around. Not so much for using while traveling on an airline, but for going back-and-forth to the field, they are perfect. Highly recommend.

I found myself needing a case much wider from the hinge to the opening edge because I had mounted a scope to my AR-15, with my AR-15 now being 12" from the bottom of the receiver to the top of the scope. There are several other options out there for a hard case with enough width for the purpose, but I've had excellent experience using various MTM products over more than forty years, and the fact that this case includes four securing straps decided it for me.For those who may be curious, the 42" length of this case accommodates my AR-15 that has a 20" barrel, even with the retractable stock fully extended. The one part that took me a bit of time with this case was determining where to mount the four securing straps (there are eight screws included) to best fasten down the carbine to prevent shifting, with some trial and error before I finally had it right. There is a set of printed instructions explaining how to mount the straps and pull the straps through the slits through the cushioning foam to secure your gun, and there are several screw holes on the inside wall of the case below the cushioning foam for the purposes of attaching the securing straps. My one little gripe that put this from a five-star to a four-star was that the straps have some slightly excessive space between the securing grommets, but my guess is that the straps were made that way to fit some of the other cases that MTM has. That's a minor ding, and I was able to find that I could get one strap properly around the stock tube just aft of the receiver, one strap over the butt stock, one strap over the barrel close to the front sight, and the fourth strap over the barrel forward of the front sight. The case has four securing latches, two on the side opposite of the hinge and one on each end of the case, which nicely keeps the case from partially opening when carried. The plastic of the case itself is suitably strong with some flex to make resistant to breakage, but understand that you should still exercise basic care with it and not slam it around or drop it from very high. This is not a high end case such as a Pelican, but then it costs a fraction of what a Pelican will set you back, although probably the only people who would have a real need for a Pelican would be bush pilots or someone else in a high demand application.I have a more standard size MTM case that I've been using for over forty years, so I expect this one to go well beyond that. One small note, but for some reason the Amazon description describes this case as having China as the country of its origin, but I can confirm that this case is prominently labeled as 100% made in USA, as all MTM products are manufactured in their Dayton, Ohio plant.

This rifle case is advertised as a Double Rifle case but, in my case, I used it for ONLY my GForce Arms 12GA semi-auto and the extra magazines, shotgun shells belt and accessories. The GF2512 Shotgun is pretty big and heavy so this Hard sided case and "egg crate" padding works out better than a Soft Sided rifle case. This case has more interior space than most Hard Sided cases so it works out well for the shotgun with the attached reflex optic and flip-up sights. An added bonus is, if used as a Double rifle case, there are 4 Velcro straps included that can be screwed to various locations inside the case and the "egg crate" padding has pre-cut slots to allow the straps to come through. The case is sturdy, protects the rifle well, has great features and has a reasonable price. For what it is worth, I highly recommend this product.
