This is a great combo pack that can take you from colonization to fruiting in one kit. Both bags arrived clean and properly hydrated for immediate use. My spores took up well on the grain and colonized the whole bag in under a month. The larger sized bags give you a lot to work with. It filled my big fruiting tub completely and I had enough to run a smaller tub left. All said, it works great.

This is a good combo of materials to make up your own grown bags for mushrooms. It's sterilized and well packaged and will work well.

After trying out an all-in-one (grain and substrate together) 5lb bag from Mycelium with decent results, I realized I could've easily messed up, and decided to try a separate grain and substrate kit for my next one - and there's plenty of both on offer here for even bigger (and multiple) flushes!Full disclosure: the first 15lb kit arrived pre-innoculated... With trich. I assume there was a breach during handling that punctured the bag, as it was apparent without even seeing the telltale green due to the smell when opening the box. The substrate itself seemed undisturbed, and getting a replacement was no issue. The next arrived with no such issues, and after leaving for a week to be sure, I was happy to inoculate with spores using the self healing injection port. To be on the safe side, I still use some micropore tape to prevent unwanted contaminants on the used port, but so far, so good!They also include some various accessories like gloves and such, which I've gotten in the previous AIO kit, but those are just thoughtful bonuses... When considering the work put into sterilization, and the quality/mixture of the grain and substrate themselves, I'm happy to recommend Mycelium supplies to home growers of all kinds - even with the possibility of issues before they arrive!

Love everything about it, I believe it's sterileI was unable to test this product out fully and will not be able to anytime soon because there's a lot more things you need and the seller doesn't appear to have them and I had a hard time finding them here or other places online. I'm going to keep at it though.This item is the substrate only, you'll also need according to AI:Besides a suitable substrate, you'll need a few key items to grow mushrooms successfully:Spores or Spawn: You need mushroom spores or spawn to inoculate your substrate. These can be jars, bags, or trays, depending on the method you're using.Humidity Control: Mushrooms require a high humidity environment to grow.
