Scanneur que mon fils utilise pour jouer à la marchande. Reconnait parfaitement tous les codes barres scannés. Attention à ne pas perdre la notice qui permet de paramétrer le scan.

Easy to setup and easy to use. Comes with a user manual of "barcodes" to setup. I only used one of the barcodes to send up the scanner. Just need it to scan book, Music CDs, DVDs and BR barcodes. This is does without any problems straight into the cell on my spreadsheets. Does all that I need, what more could you ask for. Very good value for money, strongly recommended

Only issue with this scanner is that its 2D barcodes only. But if you only need to deal with 2D codes its fine, Does the job perfectly fine. Out of the box it acts as a USB keyboard so it will "type in" the codes it scans. Which this can lead to mistakes (if you touch the keyboard at the same time as scanning, you have the wrong field selected, etc, it does mean it will work with pretty much any software/browser out there. Which makes it great if you have to type in order numbers a lot (as often on the packaging there will be a barcode with the order number on, so saves time and typos doing such tasks). The scanner can also work in RS232 mode, which will make the scanner work as a USB serial device, which will reduce the errors you can get from it acting as a keyboard, but means the software you want to use this on has to support being able to read the codes from a COM port rather than a text field.Great scanner and came up at the perfect time as I'm using it with my on inventory system for my small business.

As someone with an interest in hobby electronics, robotics and 3D printing projects, I keep a lot of stock of electronic and mechanical parts at home, and I use a stock system to keep track of what parts I've got and where they're located. Every container of each component has a barcode on it, which I scan with the inventory management app on my phone. However, it's sometimes not convenient to use my phone for scanning, and 99% of the time I'm working next to my PC, so I thought a "fixed" 1D barcode scanner would be a good idea so I can use the inventory app on my PC and still be able to scan barcodes. This 1D barcode scanner is "plug and play", in that you plug it into your PC and it works right away, with no additional drivers or software required. It works a bit like a keyboard: you make sure your cursor is in the appropriate text field where you want the barcode to be filled in, then scan a barcode with the scanner and it transfers the code to the text field. The instruction sheet comes with a number of codes on it which you simply scan in order to change settings. The first one I tried was to turn off the beep with each scan. For some reason, this took several goes for it to work, but now the scanner works silently. You can also use the special codes to change things such as entering a carriage return at the end of the scanned code (equivalent to pressing "Enter" on the keyboard if entering a code manually), and the keyboard language that the scanner operates with. This last point is why I am deducting one star: for a product being sold in a UK market, you cannot choose a UK keyboard layout - only US English. This is a problem when the code you want to scan contains a double quote mark ("), because on a US English keyboard layout typing Shift+2 makes an @ symbol instead of ".The 1D barcode format Code 128 supports double quote marks, and some of the codes I wanted to scan contain double quotes, but unfortunately I can't use this scanner for them simply because I cannot change its language to UK English.Other than that, it feels nice in the hand, it scans and returns the result basically instantly, and the flexible stand it comes with is very robust, and is stiff enough to stay in any position you bend it to.
