The Newrara Graduation Doctoral Tam was a bit disapointing. It was smaller in size than expected and the gold bullion tassel was quite stiff. The fabric was not soft to the touch like other tams I had seen a t previous graduations. When I purchased my doctroral gown and regalia, I had thought it would arrive with a tam. Instead, it came with a mortar board making me have to quickly order a tam. If I had had time to return and replace the Newrara tam, I would have. It was adaquate to wear for the hour required but did not compare to tams worn by fellow graduates.

This is a good quality product however too big even with the adjustable Velcro!! Those who have a tiny head should not get this tam.

As a tenured professor, I must dress in full regalia each spring for our commencement ceremony. I decided to buy mine instead of renting and this 6point black cap is perfect for me! Stays on my head better than the typical cap and the Velcro adjustment allows me to secure it for individual fit. It’s construction quality is excellent. The affordability was the biggest selling point for me! It’s comfortable, stylish, and well made. Highly recommend for anyone with a terminal degree needing to purchase a cap for graduation!
