Does exactly what it says on the tin...I have an older 45Drives Storinator S45 that doesn't use backplanes but has 10x SFF-8087->4xSata cables instead of the backplane...so I ordered 10 of these to upgrade to some newer HBAs that use SFF-8643 connectors.

I used this to adapt from the built-in backplane on my gen8 HP microserver, to connect the drives to my LSI megaraid controller.I wasn't able to use the PCI slot for mounting, as the raid card was using the single slot, but it isn't powered/connected electrically anyway so it didn't matter. I found a space in the server for it to sit without touching anything.
