I intended to use this as a cheap alternative to nods, however this set has a glaring flaw aside from poor depth perception in comparison to a set of analog nods. It will automatically power off after what the inner circuitry deems as "inactivity" This is not useful for it's intended use so non-conventional use is automatically written off. The only way it will remain active is if you buy an SD card and use it to take recordings and pictures of what you are looking at. If there is a way to program these to not shut off after remaining in an idle state, please let me know.

Leider kann man den akku nicht austauschen. Im Jahr 2023 sollte das möglich sein. Ein Nachtsicht Gerät sollte normale Batterien haben und keinen akku. Wenn man in der Natur ist, gibt es keine Steckdose zum Aufladen. Normale Batterien kann man überall kaufen, auch in Tankstellen. Akkus sind nur für daheim und kosten sehr viel Strom kosten. Dieses Nachtsicht Gerät hat einen guten SensorAber da man eine veraltete Technologie mit akku im Gerät hat, kann man es nicht draußen in der Natur benutzen. Akkus halten nicht lange und das aufladen dauert 5 Stunden. So macht kein Gerät spaß.

Using for bat surveys. Battery life is great as is the led illumination. The picture becomes a bit grainy when used in full dark, but still pretty good

Rather happy with these, give a nice picture, work well, once you get the hang of the buttons and what they do as long as you use it often or have a good memory, quite easy to use. But if you wear glasses, at least in my case, progressive Bifocals , they’re not the greatest. I am stuck having to hold them somewheres between 8 to 12 inches from my face to see clearly. Tried magnified reading lens’, but they’re just not strong enough. I’ve thought I may have been able to make up the difference in the focus, but not so.

Used this more than my dslr camera on vacation! The zoom is good and i used the digital zoom a couple times.Takes good pictures when you dont use the digital zoom. Wish it had autofocus but not a big deal!
