So stylish AND useful. I leave my large Lodge skillet out on the stove so it’s nice to have the leather on there ti dress it up. The long handle sheath fits well and will break in. The short handle sheath is a bit difficult to keep on, to the point where sometimes I feel it may slip off while I am lifting the hot skillet. The way you think it goes on does not work at all- the sheath is too small in depth. What I call upside down (their logo on the underside) works better…I’m hoping it will also break in as I like the look.

These are simply great. Bullet-proof and elite for cast iron fans. I'd say skip to the end for details on this product, but you really should read the next paragraph.To prepare your cast pan handles properly, start with a heat-resistant silastic tape. SELSIL HELP tape is my choice, but I guess you have to buy it from them direct now. There are other, similar tapes but they are a bit rare. They adhere without adhesive, but by stretching and wrapping like any bat or tennis racquet. They block heat in an amazing way.That takes care of the heat and tightens everything perfectly. As for the leather, I use Sno-Seal because it's designed to absorb into the leather with heat. It keeps the leather from soiling, while allowing it to breath – it will still look wet, and will weather beautifully, but any stains will come off with a simple water rinse. Totally wax-based but absorbent and you will find many uses (with buffing, it is the absolute best polish for dress shoes).Aaaaand I have no affiliation with the products I've mentioned. Just worthy stuff IMO

This little thing is magical. Ya know someone is always standing in the kitchen and always in front of the oven mitts drawer. I cooked almost exclusively on cast iron skillets and whether making a sauce for a pasta or a roux or a Scattered Smothered Covered Chunked and Diced in a 12” skillet, those cast iron pots are not friendly to uncovered skin. So this little thing just slips on the handle of any sized pan at a moments notice. Awesome.

Keeps your hands safe and looks amazing.Note if may be a bit short on longer handles such as langostina but it’s not an issue. I haven’t felt any heat what so ever yet. Very happy !Recommended

These are beautiful, well made and look professional. I have small, thin hands and I don't find the edges too sharp as others have suggested. They aren't ideal but they are also not a deal breaker for a lovely set.
