This is a well built compact ODB2 breakout box perfect for use with a meter, scope or computer for vehicle diagnostics. Banana plugs are good quality and works perfect with any analyzer.voltage conversion is an added feature and is a great help when working with a 24v system and 12v analyzer.You might need to use an extension cable with this device to have it in a more convenient position.Overall a good breakout board.

This tool works great. You can check can lines and it provides 12v for further testing right at the DLC. Much quicker than checking each pin.

I got this OBD II breakout box to check the quality of my OBD II devices and their waveforms, since poor devices can disrupt vehicle operation. It functions well for its various purposes in my testing. The breakout banana plugs are great for connecting a multimeter or oscilloscope, and the LEDs give quick indication of status. Activity lights blink rapidly for several seconds when any activity is detected on the line, even if it's just for a moment. This is best used with an OBD II extension cord as it's hard to reach under the dash, and there's not enough space in some vehicles for this to even fit (like one of mine). This is a decent value when you need a breakout box or voltage conversion.Vehicle side can be 12-24V. Switch on side selects between dropping 24V to 12V or passing straight through (with a 0.4V drop). Barrel jack on side also allows supplying with 12/24V externally to vehicle and tester. I tested all OBD II pins and 14 pins are passed straight through, except Battery + (16) and K Line (7), which have voltage conversion.

I own an older Jeep Wrangler. If you own a Wrangler you find you either learn to turn wrenches or you go broke. I learned how to work on other vehicles and eventually have turned into a bit of a treeshade mechanic. I fix the vehicles of my loved ones and sometimes others, though I charge the others. A friend of a friend wanted help with his diesel truck. I brought my OBD2 scanner but found out it was a 24v system and needed a special scanner. I like my scanner, so decided to try this product instead.It worked! The thing lit up to show it was 24v (or 23 and change) but my 12v scanner read it all! This was a cheaper alternative to buying a whole new scanner just for 24v systems.Overall I'm happy with this adaptor as it's expanded the utility of one of my most important tools.
