I have an oak log. It was cut in December, and the bark was on tight. I needed to get the bark off in order to use the log. I searched high and low and asked an expert his opinion. I wound up buying this item, but through another site since I would get it a lot faster...among other things.This item easily removes bark. I thought it would mar my log bu it did no such thing. It'S dull enough not to cut you, but sharp enough to remove the bark and even scrape off fine layers of bark, and that soft layer it leaves behind.I did buy the stick/pole from amazon. I had to cut off about 4inches, or 10cm. I really didn't need to screw it in, but did so anyways. No issues whatsoever. I highly recommend this item. I plan on buying one for a friend.

Der Rindenschäler ist ausgeführt in guter Handwerkerqualität, mit passendem Stil lassen sich Baumstämme einwandfrei und schnell entrinden. Verpackung und Lieferung waren ebenfalls in gewohnter Amazon-Qualität. Ich würde die Ware wieder kaufen und empfehle es weiter
