Great magnet! Holds great to wood stove has a convenient wire grabber to move if you need to. I would buy again! Great price for 2!!

I have used these for years on my wood stove. When I went to get a new one for a friendsstove, I noticed that some of the newer brands are making the rating of the temps lower! as to what is too hot or not! Good grief! The stove needs to burn at a certain high tempfor a short time at least to help clear the soot out of the chimney. If you make the high tempa too high one, then this wont get done. I always watch it in the red and leave it just near the borderor above for a short time , unless I am cleaning soot, or cooking,,, then I am right there using it for cooking and you need it in the red!

Received the thermometers nicely packaged and within acceptable shipping speed.I was very pleased with the size of the display. You can see from far distance if your wood burning stove operates in the "green range".Placed it on the stove pipe and was positive surprised about the holding power of the magnet !As far a accuracy goes: I cannot comment on it as I had no opportunity to compare with a respective calibrated temperature gauge. But is it really critical in this application if the unit would show the temperature "a little off" ?I would buy these thermometers any time again.
