I don’t know that much about knives even though I have several and collect them. What I do know is that this Omesio Fixed Blade Tactical Knife arrived nicely boxed, although not quite what I would call gift boxed, and looks great. It appears well made out of quality materials, balances well and fits comfortably in my hand. It is a full tang design, meaning that the entire blade and handle, including the finger ring, is one piece of steel. The finger ring, used correctly, adds greatly to the stability of your grip on the knife. It will be very difficult for any outside force to strip the knife out of your hand. I just wish that there was some jimping above the ring. The textured G10 grips are slim and attractive. The ad-listing boasts that this knife features a “Premium 5CR13MoV Stainless Steel Blade”. A quick WEB search returns information and opinions that are summarized by this quote… “Don’t bother with anything less than 8Cr in this series. Steels 7Cr and below aren’t worth your time or money. They lack the carbon necessary to hold an edge, even during mild use.” IMHO… This knife arrived in need of sharpening. The ABS sheath locks on tightly and offers excellent protection for the knife and the person carrying it. It does not have a manual retention device. The attached plastic belt clip has a locking button that allows you to open the clip for installation and removal from your belt. This is a welcome feature because you don’t have to remove your belt to attach/detach it. The mount is adjustable for belts up to 2 1/2 inches wide. I like that you can install the clip on either side of the sheath. My bottom line is that this is a nice looking uniquely designed budget knife at a budget price. I’m not sure why the ad-listing has so much German text in it. Even the ad-listing clearly states that this Omesio Fixed Blade Tactical Knife is made in China. I am a bit conflicted on the star rating. As far as serious knives go… From cheap to great, I’d give this guy three stars. But, knowing that it is a $28 budget knife… In its own class, it probably deserves four stars.
