I primarily got this for repairing lines in deep narrow trenches. Trying to dig out the extra clearance and get a nice straight cut can be a real chore. With this, once I get the bad section out an back to good pipe it's just a quick trim around the inside and I've got an even flat end of pipe to glue the repair fittings on. Having the quick adjust on the depth comes in handy down in the hole, no fumbling with tools once you're down there. And the large rotating face comes in handy when the pipe end cut is uneven. I can keep the depth stop face in position against the high spot and just slide the stop face along to get the cut while remaining perpendicular to the pipe. And it minimizes wear on the guide.

I ordered this cut out tool to use in my home plumbing projects. The tool came well packaged and included two different cutting blades along with various other parts that when assembled onto the drill shaft allowed for a complete system to cut or drill out broken pipes.I tried this out on a piece of 2 inch broken ABS pipe and everything performed without any issues. I simply set the larger white collar to the depth that I wanted the blade inserted into the ABS pipe, started up the drill, and moved the cutting blade around in a circular motion until the pipe was completely severed. The broken portion of the pipe was easily lifted out and after cleaning up the cut, I was able to put the new pipe section in and secure with ABS cement.I like this tool for two reasons: it's simple to set up and simple and easy to operate. This cut from the inside of a PVC pipe. The cut was very straight and clean. I used the saw blade and it comes with an extra abrasive blade also. Tools and extra wheels to set up come in the package as pictured in they're listing. It is easy to adjust depth and tightening is easy to secure the stops. If you need to cut in a confined space or from inside a pipe this will work fine. I can recommend this.

This is a pretty nice tool. Fairly easy to use. You can adjust the depth of your cut with an included wrench though a pair of Chanel locks will work when you inevitably loose the wrench. It gives a nice clean cut but you can get a lot of vibration if you don’t go slowly and it does cut a little slowly. Maybe I haven’t mastered the tool yet I don’t know that it is better than a traditional manual pipe cutter
