Very few toys last long in my household, but I took a chance on this gator. The arm is separate from the body with squeakers separated into segments. My dogs pulled the arm through the first day, and they play with the arm parts (chewed in half). The arm won't last long. The body is very sturdy, though, and they're happy chewing and squeaking and wagging their tails.

I bought this toy for its adverstised durability, after our puppy chewed through numerous other supposedly durable stuffed toys for dogs. I did not actually expect it to be any more durable than the others, but I was wrong: this toy has lasted! And our dog loves it.

I usually buy cheaper toys because the expensive ones get ripped apart as quick as the cheaper ones. Bought a Christmas "Charming Pet" toy with 5 squeakers and 6 months later three squeakers are still working and NO TEARS. All other toys squeakers, if I'm lucky, last maybe a week or two. Decided to purchase a bigger toy and ordered the Gorilla. Ended up with the Alligator. It still had the 12 squeakers so decided to keep it. Almost two months later and 11 of 12 squeakers still working. No tears. Toy washes well. I rated this a 4 instead of a 5 due to sending the wrong 'animal toy' requested. Overall great quality and worth the money.

Bought for my 8 lb Shichon and Bichon to play with. Way too big. Still gave 5 stars as would be good toy for larger dogs. My oversight as dimensions were clearly set out in description.

This worked great when our pup had his baby teeth, now that he's got his other teeth and is a bit stronger he destroyed this in a couple of hours.So, great for puppies with baby teeth or mild chewers but won't hold up long to a hard chewer.
