Cuts quick but sometimes the ratchet action doesn’t always work in a tight space which is it purpose.

One of the best tools in my plumbers kit, far far better than any other pipe cutters that i've ever had before.. absolutely awesome how it's able to ratchet and cut as it got me out of a few sticky situations, would highly recommend..

If you've got pipes which are tight to the wall or each other and don't afford you room to spin a regular pipe slice around the pipe, then this is your solution. As long as you can fit this around the pile and have a small bit of wiggle room, the outer shell ratchets an inner cutter around the pipe for you. I haven't found it to slip and the cut has a nicely rounded edge. At times you may need a bit of strength in your fingers if it's a tight fit but otherwise just be warned that once you get it on the pipe and that outer shell moves even a fraction, you won't be changing your mind about where you are cutting.
