I replaced my stock technics 3mm mat on my SL1500C with the BR12. Through the 1 degree concave shape you will need to increase your antiskate a bit , the tonearm will more easily go towards the spindle. If you get distortion in the right channel it’s because the stylus is drifting more towards the inner groove (left channel) and the audio on the outer groove cuts out.This is perfectly fine. Just increase antiskate a bit.The BR12 is 5mm thick so you need to adjust your tonearm accordingly.

音質は向上しました。音が安定する。低音が深く聞こえる。音場が少し広くなった。超高域がやや大人しく。スタビライザー併用は必須ですが、レコードの上下が減少。

Nice mat. The material works very well to dampen any ring from my aluminum platter. The slight concave design combined with a record clamp really helps give your stylus a solid surface to work with. I am not aware of any other record mat with this concave design, which is also integrated into some expensive turntable platters.

After trying many different mats over the years, Achromat, Inspire Acrimat, Herbies way excellent, and a Cork mat, I went back to using the standard thick rubber mat that came with my SL1210 MK2.I then tried this Oyaide BR-12, and it's by far the best of the lot, my 1210 is already modified with external psu, bearing and a copper bonded platter.This oyaide mat supports and grips the record perfectly and seems to have no obvious influence on sonics, with the standard mat there was an obvious bloom and often vagueness to the soundstage.The inspire mat sounded too bright and a bit clinical, the Achromat seemed to suck out all the bass.The Oyaide mat is perfect to me and the endgame as far as mats are concerned for my 1210, buy with confidence.
