Malgré le fait qu'il soit en anglais , on peut s'en sortir car les pas à pas sont vraiment bien détaillés sur les photos. Il y a plusieurs sortes d'arbres, les 4 saisons, le rendu en fonction des pinceaux utilisés etc ... très bon livre que je recommande.Livre commandé sur Book Depository FR (Londres) , bien emballé, on a juste le jour de l'expédition et après plus rien sur le suivi de colis , j'ai effectué 2 commandes chez eux et livraison en 8 jours.

Ich bin Anfänger und habe noch nicht viel mit Aquarellfarben gemalt, bin aber von dem Buch begeistert. Die Beispiele sind wirklich schön - ich mag einen relativ realistischen Stil ohne Schnickschnack, aber mit harmonischer Atmosphöre. Dies ist hier gegeben. Es werden Beispiele aus verschiedenen Jahreszeiten angeführt. Bis jetzt habe ich erst ein Bild nachgemalt, dauert ja einige Stunden, aber das Ergebnis kann sich für einen Anfänger schon sehen lassen, finde ich. Tipp: Erst am Anfang lesen, was man alles braucht, denn man braucht zwar nicht viel, aber das Richtige (am besten gute Aquarellfarben, den richtigen Block, Rubbelkrepp und einen speziellen Pinsel musste ich auch noch kaufen). Ich habe mittlerweile sicher schon 10 Aquarellbücher (habe viele gebraucht gekauft), aber dieses hier gefällt mir aufgrund des Stils am besten.

Ich bin begeistert darüber, wie einfach es gehen soll. Bei Terry Harrison sieht alles so super einfach aus. Wenn man das Buch durch blättert, animiert es einen sofort zum Mit- und Nachmachen. Mal davon abgesehen, daß der malenden Autor sehr schöne Motive herausgesucht hat, ist auch jedes einzelne Werk Step-by-Step beschrieben, so daß das Nachen wirklich kein Problem ist.

I have bought a number of watercolor instruction books but Terry Harrison's Watercolor Trees is my favorite. The step by step instructions are simple to follow with great results even though I didn't have the exact same colors he recommends. One of the only drawbacks is that he uses some of his own colors (greens and shadow) that I can't find at the local art store. Of course there are other greens to use but I would like to get as close to his as possible and he doesn't tell you how to mix standard colors to get his shades. So it's hit and miss. I have always thought of shadows as just a grey but his is a light reddish purple. It looks wonderful in the book.If you can draw a simple tree this book will show you how to bring it to colorful life. It also explains how to do simple but effective reflections in rivers and puddles which is very impressive. I now want to do all my landscapes with reflections. I have since ordered his three special greens and the shadow color which shipped from England to the Seattle area. Once I receive the paints I will be attempting all the tutorials in the book.
