I'm glad I bought one before it went out of stock. For $20 it's a bit pricey for a tiny piece of rubber but, it's so much nicer & softer than the original that came with the camera.I fits perfectly around my eye to block all outside light. I can clearly see the viewfinder now with no distraction. Panasonic should ship all their camera with this Eye Cup but as always, anything to make more money haha, pay-up for extra comfort.This is a genuine Panasonic product so that's a big plus. The rubber is softer than the original, really nice. Yup, it is Made in China as everything else these days, the Lumix G9 included. Long gone are the Lumix GH1/GH2 days, when Panasonic camera & accessories are all Made in Japan.

It is well made, but no better than the regular piece that comes with the G9. In fact, the regular one fir some reason fit my glasses more comfortably. Go figure.

If I am in bright sun I like to block all stray light when looking through the EVF on my G9. This eye cup will do that far better than the original eye cup that comes with the G9. I only wish that Panasonic made one specifically for right eye viewers that would be larger on the right side and smaller on the left so that it would fit around the eye better that a universal one. However, this is the best that I have found so far.

I found this accessory to be very helpful as it places my eye at the optimal distance when I use the EVF with my glasses. It is a bit pricey for what it is, but I appreciate the convenience.
